Sony Xperia XZ Premium camera scores 83 on DxOMark Comments
Why Dxomark don't test all the scene in the settings including the Macro Potrait Pets Gourmet etc with each ISO settings, just add in selected(Bokeh and zoom) protocols? I am confused by the new protocols, is this the marketing by trend or get paid by someone?
Actually Bokeh can be done by Background defocus app and the zoom can attach a Detachable Clip-on Telescope Lens.

With dXoMarks rating now you need to comparing phones scores in detail...
Just don't take the overall score to determine.
Overall scores is useless with NEW bokeh and craps in protocol standard!!

Yeah Sony just well enough. Nothing big change. Sony always playing safe. They need to take a risk.

Considering that some months ago XZ premium owned all the other flagship when it came to 4K recording(they just stopped after a short time while XZP kept recording until storage was full), those tests are just advertising bought by Apple to pretend they have something other than the chipset that it's worth throwing a small fortune on every year

Never take DxO into consideration. For the sake of curiosity I took a look at their flash ratings. Lots of LED smartphones getting rated higher than Xenon, such as the 808 PureView and Lumia 1020.

Why can't they make a d... moreCause they have a camera division and want to sell their point-and-shoot cameras. Have such a camera by Sony, a cheaper one with 1/2.3" sensor I guess. The image processing is really similar to that of their current smartphones like XZP (had this one). So in low light it´s not very nice and manual mode is restricted. You can only use shutter speed or ISO, but not both settings at the same time. But you have optical zoom and OIS and the modes are more reliable than in their phones. That´s a plus for such pictures. I feel they want to offer especially OIS as selling point for their cameras. That´s a huge mistake cause most people will replace their snapshot cameras with smartphones.

illusio, 23 Sep 2017iPhone 8 camera´s zoom is digital. Is not optical zomm, is only a effect It's optical, as said before. The secondary camera actually goes wider in then the normal one. Why then would apple, and anybody else with a dual camera, call it "optical zoom" if it was just digital zoom?
