I’ve uploaded a lot of my songs to Apple Music, so they sync right got back onto my phone. I subscribe to Apple Music as well so no illegal downloads anymore. Google Photos to backup photos. Use iCloud for backup. Not much need for a computer there.

You just create an Apple ID and you're good to go. You can also download songs with some kind of youtube download app, but wouldn't it be easier and more legal to just use iTunes, Apple music or , if you still want it for free, Spotify?

I am not so sure about video because I don't download videos from my phone, and I normally download videos from my computer and transfer to my phone regardless whether it is iphone or Android phone.
You can read PDF files in iBooks that were saved from Safari Browser. Don't even bother to download PDF files from others when you normally can read any PDF files directly from the sender in most apps such as Gmail, Whatapp etc.
For instagram, iPhone and Android are the same. You need a third party app to download the their images and their stories to your phone.

Can someone correct me on this,not owning an Apple phone am I right in saying an Apple phone is no use to unless you have a computer to activate it,and you can only download through iTunes,if this is right then wouldn't they have more sales if they didn't go down this road,I don't own a computer or laptop and do not know anyone where I live own one or iPhone,because I we all understood your smart phone is a mini computer,be gentle guy's I'm just curious !
