I am glad the iPhone X will be a success. This will force Samsung and LG to get out of their laziness and create truly bezel-less phones and not just smaller bezel phones that people call "bezel-less".

They won't even let the press enroll their faces to test it because Fail ID, er I mean FaceID is a half baked feature used as excuse to cover up the fact that they can't place the TouchID sensor under the screen, the power button or even at the back of the phone.

It will sell the best because it's a design refresh like the 4, 5, and 6 but it won't age the best with only 3gb RAM. Look at the iPhone 5s and 6 / 6 Plus now on iOS11. An extra gig of RAM would've helped.
Patience. Most of these features are nothing new and Face ID might still feel like it's still in beta. 2018-2020 will have stronger twins of this X design. Think more of long-term. The s model tock years have always been better. The X buyers are used as guinea pigs to this new design. Ten months later, better X with A12 will be announced.

People dont care for face ID. People care about the status the phone gives you, because most of the world is that shallow. If apple made a 2000 dollar model with a gold trimmed apple logo, it would sell, just for status and show of.

That is very unlikely because iphone X is 999$ in the US but in other places it will be more expensive for the base model than the 256Gb variant in the US.
Also the iphone x will be available quite late(starting November) by the time a lot of people will want to decide buying one the 2018 Android Phones will be ready for launch.
