I'd appreciate anyone's help, cause it seems like HTC or Verizon can't assist me. I have an unlocked HTC One M9, but Verizon based. I've checked for the latest update for my phone, but it says "software update only work in CDMA mode", which doesn't work in my country (Guyana, South America). When I switch it, the network goes off. When it switches to Global network, it fails. So I installed the HTC Sync Manager and to my surprise, it has the latest update for my phone. The problem is that it won't download. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, switching cables, switching computers, nothing works. The download is stuck at 1% and won't go further. Efforts to locate the RUU file is a failure as well. Can someone please help me? What can I do? Or is there any other alternative to the upgrade? Please, I need help!

You basically dont need any tutorial if you youre able to grab an RUU that has the .exe extension. The software would tell you what to do. So worry about finding the RUU
I personally don't like the update and I wish there was a way to undo it (aside from a reset). There are glitches in it. My glove mode, which I use often, no longer works and everytime I initiate a call, it starts with "call ended." I even found a misspelled word on a menu...Sometimes things should just be left alone.
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2017as usual, android users always behind.IOS is so much better cuz you can get those updates and increase the obsolescence of your phone sooner.

Download the .exe file to computer. Double click and follow the instructions to update your phone. Remember, itd mostly likely wipe all contents off your phone, so do a backup!
It's really sad how all these updates have to be approved by so many different parties before reaching the public. A lot of people probably don't even remember what an HTC M9 is and it's barely getting Nougat lol. My preferred OS is by far Android but i think it's cool how Apple updates all their devices that came out in the last 3-4 years at the same time. I guess having complete control comes in handy..

My HTC One X9 is still running on marshmallow..😭😭😭😭😭
Anonymous, 26 Sep 2017as usual, android users always behind. But our phones (android) don't need over priced phones and updates like apple, you got to remember android is an open sorce,Chinese can deliver phones at a bargain price with fewer updates, why do ppl update ? Because it's there that's why, don't fix it if it's not broken !
....this is one of the reasons Apple can charge so much for their phones.
They actually deliver a high-standard of support to their products.
And this isn't just the OS, but Applications, hardware, accessory, and customer care as well.
Such a shame, HTC, you were everybody's favourite in 2008-2012.

I have a HTC M9 but the problem is that it does not let me update if I do not have a sim card from verizon inside it, which tells me that I can only update with active CDMA, and where I am there is no such service, I have searched a thousand ways do it but I have not managed to get it, if anyone knows how to do the update to NOUGAT I will thank him all my life :(
