Anonymous, 28 Sep 2017We're you aware the iPhone 4 was somehow designed by Sony..?No, probably because *it wasn't*. Apple designers were told to do the *first* iPhone embodying themselves as designers for Sony making a new phone, thus there were early (internal) drafts with Sony logos and everything. Sony was *NEVER* involved in that process, it was all role-play within Apple (and with Apple designers).
Just a marketing stunt to get all the frustrated Samsung fans to buy Sony products once again.

It's the Samsung fans with ugly visions requested for bezel-less design, where Sony is now implementing their upcoming flagship. Bezels are here to protect the bloody device, and who said AMOLED, when screen repair is cheaper to replace LCD than AMOLED. I don't think Samsung fans ever used Xperia device with 23MP, now requesting for better lowlight 12MP, there is superior auto mode which has low light if you know how to use it.
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017They single handedly killed the XZ sales with this info. Bravo...more market share loss.why? i dont like no-bezels phone, i hope that sony will continue make bezels phone too...
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017They single handedly killed the XZ sales with this info. Bravo...more market share loss.not really ...
people who want a new phone wont wait 6 months .. they will buy it now.
I said that all phones in the future will be useless crap, and LG V20 remains the last true and best smartphone forever.
DenisXD, 28 Sep 2017Sony didn't say they go bezeless, just a shift in design. I for one don't mind the bezels much... moreHe (Sony exec) did say they're going to join the 18:9 bandwagon soon, which means the new device will be bezeless..
I hope Sony keeps the front firing stereo speakers. Sony phones are definitely in need of bezel reduction, but if it comes at the cost of stereo speakers then it won't be truly worth it. Keeping the Screen to body ratio at 75% should allow them to somehow keep the dual speaker and maybe increase the battery capacity at the same time.
Good Quality Phone with Large Battery and Good Specs is more important then a New Trend of Bendable Phone...
My main problem with Sony phones is lack of quality. Not bezels or features or anything.
Next Sony flagship, I want to see a Dual Camera (Wide+Telephoto), with main camera being a 12-16 Megapixel f/1.6 phone with large pixels, at least 1.4 um, which should churn out excellent pictures. And enough slow motion modes too. I'm talking about 720p@960, 1080p@480 fps, 4K@60 fps, etc...
And I want Audio quality to lead the chart, even ahead of Galaxy Note 8, in terms of loudspeaker and headphones, both.
I know currently the Snapdragon 835 may pose a limit, but I hope the next gen solves this.
UltimateZeroSeconds, 28 Sep 2017Either bezel or bezelless I will use Sony. The design is very squarish. LOL. aaahaahaaa..
well mr heatpipe.. have you changed your mind? lol. you won't be able to hold sony phone again while gaming. LOL.
Sony is always very very late in everything, Lacks vision. Thats why sony always suffers bad sales.
