It Still Alive and work fast as usual, just get some scratches at frame, I believe the Sony quality is good enough.
If the iPhone 5 series (5c excluded, SE included) is the best iPhone design ever, the iPhone 4 from 2010 is the most influential phone design for this decade.
Alot of hater say sony is following trend, but its not, sony not following, instead they will overtake and take it to a higher level, and sony not being late, they just do some research and experiment first, not rushing like samsung, eventually they make bezelless with edge equal to fragile cough s8 cough...so best for the last..
They should also add OIS to the main camera to help with night time shots and video.
They should also fix the internal components design, so that the first things that can be easily removed are the display itself and then the battery since those are the two things that are often replaced. Problem with other manufacturers are that they bury the battery under so many major components and under a ton of adhesive that it is difficult to remove and fix. Same thing with the display, many manufacturers make it difficult to remove it by making it the last part that can be removed when it should be the first one that should be removable.
Sony's boxy design feels truly elegant. The design is iconic at this point. Only look at the phone and people can tell it's Sony (those who recognize the branch nowadays anyway).
Chinese manufacturers don't copy it, so it is one of a kind, unlike iPhones and Galaxies which are copied by everyone (including big manufacturer like LG). I hope Sony doesn't give up that exclusivity.
Next from Sony exec: "goal is to sell as many phones in 1 year as iphone 8 does in a week, while we wait for that we continue to let the Playstation franchise pay for the losses in cellphone division"
A good move but I wish one of these companies would retain some bezel, not huge, more like half the depth of the current one!

AnonD-39937, 27 Sep 2017Finally, we waited an eternity for a bezelless phone with front stereo speakers ! :)Exactly!
And hopefully they will ACTUALLY shave the bezels.
That means keeping the 16:9 standard, instead of HIDING the bezels under a thin-display film with a weird widescreen aspect ratio.
But I doubt that will happen, all OEMs now follow each other instead of trying to innovate.
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017They single handedly killed the XZ sales with this info. Bravo...more market share loss.I think most Sony fans will live with that if it means Sony finally addressing one of their main faults, those bezels are already killing Sony anyways.
Sony should spend more time making there phones more quality and desirable and more premium feel. Bezels or Bezelness are irrelevant distractions.
When I pay money for a phone I want a premium phone made with premium materials and components !
Anonymous, 27 Sep 2017Why? So You can have 16:9 with the menu buttons...I saw s8 a few days ago. It looks awful.
It looks like a tv control
