Some of my best 4K videos were recorded on my LG smartphones, the Optimus G Pro 2 & V10. LG is a head in the video department provided in good or decent lighting environments, but in a pro's hands it does wonders.

Well, a new kind of Nokia 808 but for filming.
For the price i'll better take an iPhone 8, 7 or 6s
Or just more simple: A Canon EOS M10 and a Samsung S7.
It's all: The man that makes a camera great.
But just to be honest. I have never seen an Android with this kind of package and i have always wished for an cine camera phone.
so LG, great job but chill out with the prices.

I couldn't believe how close the two were. The Guy shot he whole hing extremely well, and the colorist did an excellent job.
Plus the V30 image looked much better than the one from all the previous iPhone vs RED abd iPhone vs Alexa footage. In hose videos, the iPhone video looked absolutely dreadful. I am guessing the Log Profile along with 50Mbps H265 may have done the trick.
Btw I couldn't help get seriously distracted by the Unusually Shiny Teeth of the guy. He needs to go easy on the Tooth Whitening Stuff.

G4: photos are just bright, quality is bad. Any midrange today does better. QHD screen uses much more power than I thought it would. Burn in issues, I sold it after screen got replaced.
G5: my girl has it. It is very ugly but photos are great.
V20: I had it 1 week. Audio is only thing better than G5, rest of G5 is better.

Not sure if it was the hardware issue or software, but both phones had... moreI have G4 and only had 2 pictures that couldnt be opened and are just standing there as not readable file (probably same problem as yours). And i have 6000 pictures made by camera and only those 2 pics were problems, nothing else. As for the USB stick, its just slow. I had one cheap Kingston 128GB USB which was slow as fuck. And had 64GB MicroSD from SP which was really slow and i wasnt able to shoot in 4K (it usually needed 10 minutes to save the file). Now i have bought SanDisk Extreme Plus 128GB (preparing myself for LG V30, so i dont have same problems with it) which has speeds 100/90MB/s and its really fast.

Proven once again that it's not the weapon but the man who use it, makes it great. There is no way an amateur like me could achieve such feat with LG or that matter with RED even. But good job LG.

The one thing that stands out on LG V30 is the HDR. The RED camera couldn't produce more dynamic rage compared to that of the phone. The areal foliage, the road are the clear examples. Compared to 50000$ camera, I'd take a V30 given its price. Of course, the RED has a whole arsenal of lenses and add-on but V30 is pretty close in terms of quality at resolvable detail.
