The people that complains are the ones that come here to do it which as you can see, is just a small % of people.Their sales didn't tumble cos they remove the removable batteries, it was cos of the Chinese OEM and you don't see them having removable as well.
These HTC Pixel team should be fired and whoever is running the Google phone department. Is it really hard to come up with anything better than 2015 design?

I had this concept about 5 years ago, and so far, the only device that has produced it is the TCL Alcatel-Lucent myTouch Idol 3 5.5 back from late 2014/early 2015:

I'd remember 2017 as the year when Chinese manufacturers decided to cripple their phones just as much as the rest.
They decided to start lowering battery capacities too, now 3000 is again the norm even for the 5.5+ models.
This crap eSim stuff better be wrong
2017 is the year tech fans will remeber when chinese manufactors did their homework and went out to rule the mobile world.
my personal phone of 2017 - the xiaomi MI6. i had a hands on experience these days. i have to admit. great phone. OK - no headphone jack. but at this pricetag - who cares! SD835, adreno 540, 128gb of storage, 6gb of ram, dual cam and dual sim. all in a handy 5,15 inch phone? that is really a no brainer.

I know and I don't need some dude in a suit to tell me.

The design team should be fired.. Is that the best they could come up? Fisher price pixy

No interest in this whatsoever. I'll wait for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro. That will be the flagship to rule them all.

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2017Steve Jobs once stated that consumers don't know what they want.Depends to whom you compare (the consumer) to. If it is to someone who has a relatively good taste, then indeed Jobs knew better. He brought the smartphone world kicking and screaming into the touch era.
But I'm not sure if the same is true for executives. For example Samsung executives don't know a thing about phone design. They peaked with Galaxy S4 and Note 4 and since then no subsequent phone ever sold as much. You know why? Because they're blindly add and remove things, often things that matter to consumers.
See for example their flagship sales taking a tumble ever since they sealed the battery. They're not very capable individuals. They just happen to be at the helm of a giant... they merely stand on the shoulders of giants.
So yes Jobs was right about *himself*, not about the rest.
It needs to be twice better than S8 and iPhoneX to compensate for that ugliness.
The Apple of Android. How ironic.
