I don't feel it is anything new. Nokia had provided this long back in form of OVI store.
most of these services have been available on Windows mobile and now WP7 from 2006. Marketing is amazing.
Welcome to earth, Apple lovers. Everyone from Microsoft to Nokia has had online syncing services for years now.
Hee, Hee all that lovely data - who owns the data when you upload to the icloud? (is like Facebook's policy?)
Who's going to be the first to hack into the wonderful magical icloud?
iphone alraady stugulling with bettery life, i dont know how this helps to bettery...!wwow
I wonder how secure this cloud is?... probably about as much as any other "cloud" service; none with many government agencies from many goverments & casually tended by the "cloud" 's administration.
it is substantially convenient. Especially when acquiring a new device. Will this feature compete with network providers paid services? If Yes, how will it play out? Apps disabled or Shared Revenues or something else.
Spotify is all I need for listening to any music in the world, and I can even play my playlists offline! FM-radio is also good!
What is new with this iOS5? I have been able to all this and more with my Androids, is Apples iOS5 really still this far behind Android? Where is Adobe Flash 10 and USB-on-the-go...? IPhone is the most expensive phone but still can not do as much as most Androids for less than half the cost can do!
Applefirstone?, 07 Jun 2011Love your comment that apple is first one to offer cloud storage. Android has been offering it... moreApple has been doing it with mobile me and dropbox for a long time (the doc/pic side of mobile me sucks though but the contact, email, task sync works well)
There's a free app called simplify media that you can use on pc and mac that allows you to stream your itunes library from your computer to your iphone. It's free ands it's been out for 2 years now.
the cloud is already in the appstore 2day if u go on update u will c all the apps that u bought and not currently install on the phone has a cloud sign next to it
AnonD-1825, 06 Jun 2011The future is in the cloud and Apple is first one there, wonder when others coming This is ... moreErr, you realise that both Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/clouddrive/learnmore) and Google (http://music.google.com/about/) have already done this, right? Google docs has been around for year, email has always been 'on the cloud', as has their calendar service. All Apple is doing here is catching up, which is still a good thing, but they're not the first one's there by any stretch of the imagination.

Android has been offering it thru gmail and google docs on all android phones for a long time. Windows has been offering that thru skydrive since launch....i like the itunes on cloud though.

They are they first you gotta be kidding me?

This is not the first time when Apple are "rediscovering" the fire or the whell..all those years they are presented or wanted us to belive that they are the first who use some kind of facilites or improvmens on thier OS.
They are presenting ICloud asa a big breakthough when, in fact, for example, Microsoft has this service from 2009, if i remember right: Microsoft my Phone is doing THE SAME from a long time now and was not such a big fuss about it, like now with Icloud.
But, i have to admit, the marketing strategies of Apple are excelent: the exemple with the WHITE Iphone 4 is more than clear..they made a whole world being intrested in...a change in colour of the gadget. Well done, i applaude your marketing strategies, they are the best.
But..i will just stick with my "democratic" HTC HD2..where i have the permission to do whatever i want with the software of the device, whenever i want it...and for free.
It's funny thought that a device that came from Republic of China (Taiwan) gives you more freedom than a device that came with USA brand all over it.

This is ... moreDude are you high? Do you ever read GSMArena or have you held a device besides an iPhone? iPhone is nearly last of the three major future mobile OS contenders to offer cloud services. Android and WP7 have all of these services. Google's are free (including streaming music) and most of MS's are free.
Don't mean to sound hostile. Just like to redirect people who are misled by industry douchebags.
If there is anyone that can make you again pay for the music you already paid for, it's Apple. Pay for your music twice! The dollartrain is rolling again... This should be fun to watch! Thank god i use HTC...
