andrej, 10 Jun 2011soon we have only 2- AT&t, and verizon, then we be pay $100, box just for have phone, plus... moreOh man if the Us Gov approves that its gonna be a huge monopoly!! You guys should come to Canada for our Wind mobile $25 unlimited local calls, caller ID, unlimited txt and + $10 you get unlimited DATA :D
I don't think this deal will help anyone out but At&t. Not to mention tmobile's LOSING customers like crazy. So they will be helping each other out. At&t need t-mobiles towers to help with those drop calls.T-mobiles plans are cheaper but they don't have the same smart phones like sprint,Verizon or at&t have. I mean they have some good ones but they are not all that. Tmobile is just know getting a smart phone with a 4.3 inch touch screen.
I'm just keeping it real we ALL know at&t will raise prices. They already want more money for data. I guess t-mobile's catching on already..today I received a msg stating I've gone over my reg data usage, and I should change my data pln. SUPRISE,SUPRISE,SUPRISE!!!
soon we have only 2- AT&t, and verizon, then we be pay $100, box just for have phone, plus everything ous on top.Worst deal ever only for monopoly.
Anonymous, 08 Jun 2011Actually maybe you noobs should actually read their proposal to the FCC before you guys commit... moreT-Mobile would have eventually got the 700mhz band when the next auction took place. Thus, enabling them to offer better penetration similar to that offered by AT&T's 850mhz. So, this is a moot point.
Artofdarkness, 07 Jun 2011More uneducated comments. Did you know that AT&T was the only phone company in America for... moreGlass houses, my friend. One should be careful not to accuse others of mis-information when one's own info is also incorrect.
Rogers did NOT emerge from AT&T. Rogers "emerged" (if you will) from Cantel and has been around for many years. Rogers had a partnership with AT&T which was terminated a few short years later when Rogers bought back the portion of AT&T's investment in the partnership.
If u dont like the idea of at&t buying t-mobile then change ur carrier no need to cry about it. I for one actually luv this idea n i support at&t n cOngrats at&t for being the best in gsm network. Stop crying n grow up its technology n its the way how life n company works. So upgrade or downgrade its up to u
As soon as AT&T jacks the rate higher than what I paid on T-mobile, I'm switching carriers.
Artofdarkness, 07 Jun 2011More uneducated comments. Did you know that AT&T was the only phone company in America for... moreI agree: cuz it's a huge change, & most people don't know how to adapt to change, they can complain (because it's easier) than understand it may not change/interrupt their plans in any way. I've been on both T-mobile & At&T...both treat you great IF you don't start off the blocks disrespecting service reps when something convuluted occurs.
welcome to Canada dear neighbours, time to learn how to get good retention offers and excercise extra patience when dealing with CSRs..
I am using At&T for at least over 20 years and never experience customers service problems. I have been most satisfy with them. I did use many years ago Verizon which was worst experience of my life. Very bad customer service and it took me two years stop my service since each time they would renew my service without my permission and no allow me to stop my service.
I never liked T-mobile since never offered a good selection of cell phones.
there's nothing we can do about it!!! the monopoly game is starting!!! all we can do is bet that the other providers is up to the challenge.. or maybe this is already planned so they can make the phonebills go up??? oh no.. my wallet
AnonD-10348, 07 Jun 2011It's pathetic how you people can bicker back and forth about the merger, which has nothing to ... moreIt has very well to do with a number of things that affect me as a T-Mobile customer directly. Here only 2:
1. My wallet
After the merger, AT&T will be more than interested in raising the prices on currently existing T-Mobile plans (either gradual or they simply won't renew the contract to the exact same price but upgrade to an equal AT&T tarif).
2 My freedom of choice
As a frequent world traveler, I always have unlocked GSM cell phones, so, that I can use my device in foreign countries with local SIM cards. In the US, I am using T-Mobile since they provide great prices + excellent customer care. Once they're gone, we will have only 1 major GSM provider: AT&T ...
And as you can imagine, the list could be continued with many more reasons.
I sure hope that after the merger, AT&T will allow downloading gameloft to my Atrix...
Cave Johnson, 07 Jun 2011Let me tell you something about this merger. It's one of AT&T's greatest and most prideful... moreActually maybe you noobs should actually read their proposal to the FCC before you guys commit? If the merger goes through ATT will acquire T Mobile's tower, which it will not have to build out towers any further. They will allocate Tmobile's 1700 AWS spectrum and use it to build out their LTE network using both 700Mhz and 1700Mhz. They will migrate T mobile onto their 850/1900 MHz spectrum. 850MHz is actually a hell of a lot better than 1700 as it has better building penetration. Since they acquired more towers they will not have to build new towers which can cost a lot due to certain cities and radiation health scare. They can then fit these towers using their radios which should be quick and easy and increase user allocation.
I am not excited about this merger. If this happens then I am going to have to find a new mobile provider. I agree with others on this matter that AT&T not only charges higher prices for less service, their customer service is horrible. And even if their customer service was good, I wouldn't want to pay the higher prices. If this happens I'm probably going to go with Verizon or maybe one of those Unlimited pay as you go carriers. Verizon is good their Cell Coverage and 4G coverage is great. But I don't like that Verizon, like Apple, have too much control over the equipment (phones), and charge for everything. When I was with Verizon it felt as though they charged me a fee for just turning my phone on and off. I hope this doesn't happen because it gives AT&T a clear monopoly over GSM mobile coverage in the states.
This isn't going to happen folks so please don't get your panties in a twist.
AT&T is a horrible company.
Heck no! AT&T is horrible! their customer service is beyond horrible. the reps are so rude. and they try to dismiss the problem by asking you to call back another day. im very satisfied with T-mobile. they've never done me wrong :)
