anon, 02 Oct 2017I'm waiting for the test of the iPhone X against the Note 8. Can't wait to see how the stylus ... moreThe "iPhone X uses the same chipset as the 8 Plus and has an equal amount of RAM". It's likely clocked a tad higher, but has more pixels to push. Then again, real usage experience is what should count. As a Note8 user, I'd guess Apple will have an edge, as they own their OS.
oneplus 5 just launched yesterday a new update 4.5.11 which they say it opens Apps faster and some other improvements.
I didn't update yet but i'm curious to see how fast it opens games since that's the struggle oneplus 5 is having right now
John Lofwire, 03 Oct 2017dont mix up speed test and benchmark ;) Thats a noob mistake. try not to make foolish remarks
BiyoBiyo JunJun, 28 Sep 2017if samsung wins , they deserve it
if apple wins , that guy been paid
- people's logic -With such a powerful soc and super fast onboard memory Iphone have no excuse to loose sorry.
3 second lead when loading app for the first time is a joke when you got twice the horse power and a supposed more optimized OS.
LOL! That iPhone 8 got owned! Look at all the iFans trying to defend their pathetic and limited iPhone.
Loving my Note8 :D thoroughly enjoyed this video!
Anonymous, 02 Oct 2017but in real life it samsung will always loose - will take time to take pic , take time to open... moreClearly didn't watch the video, smh. There are more like this as well so gtfo with that bs. If this video wasn't recorded "in real life" then how was it recorded???
but in real life it samsung will always loose - will take time to take pic , take time to open any app. But iphone don't have such lags. I am s8 user and trying to sell for best price.
People using samsung premium phone get used to such lags - thats pathetic.
Anonymous, 01 Oct 2017Just like how the iPhone 4 had antenna-gate (You're holding it wrong!), iPhone 5 has scruffgat... moreBendgate also lead to touch disease.
Effecting at least two or three models of iphone. That apple claimed only effected one.
Where it was bending was also near fragile internals for controlling the display. And they moved from a sturdy metal shielding in that area to something like film or cheap plastic.
Yeah....They are nothing but the definition of quality......
So they touch would stop working, lines would be in the display, and other issues.
It took them 2 years to finally admit it was an issue. And people were having to pay for repairs. Of course they silently fixed the cheap protective area in the next iphone...But it wasnt an issue. Then it only effected one phone. And when they finally admitted it was an issue....Even though they fixed the design flaw in later models....It was only brought on by careless users. Usually from dropping it. It was not apple's fault or a design flaw that created issues. Just careless users.
So as a show of good faith you could get the repair done for half off............
And if you could prove you paid for the repair from a year or more ago you could be reimbursed the half......
What a joke company.
I'm waiting for the test of the iPhone X against the Note 8. Can't wait to see how the stylus works on the X.... The Note's uniqueness is the Spen and on that there is no other phone that comes anywhere near it.
Anonymous, 01 Oct 2017Just like how the iPhone 4 had antenna-gate (You're holding it wrong!), iPhone 5 has scruffgat... moreWell sorry to burst your bubble but apple has one of the best customer service available. Samsung straight up denied everything. It wasn't until airlines started prohibiting it that they took some action.
On the other hand, even though Apple said you're holding it wrong, they gave free cases to everyone. I have had a macbook pro since 2 years now. The coating on the screen started coming out due to some reason some weeks ago and guess what happened. They did not even ask me a single question and straight up replaced the screen for free. I did not have Apple Care, and my laptop was out of warranty. My friend had bought an iPhone 6 when it came out. It had a display problem and they replaced the phone without asking a single question. Even he did not have Apple Care. This is how the Apple customer service reacts.
I admit even I was getting tired of the iPhone's small screen so I switched to android and bought an Samsung Galaxy S3 when it came out and it was a sensational phone. However, within two weeks of the purchase, I started seeing lines in the camera pictures. When I went to their care station they straight up denied servicing the phone even though my phone was in warranty. They tried everything they could to tie it to a physical user damage but they couldn't. After hours of convincing they took my phone for only a camera replacement. It took them more than a week and they did not even provide me with a replacement phone. I sold the phone as soon as I got it back and have never switched back to an android since.
This is the real difference between the two families. I suggest you do some actual research before commenting.
Anonymous, 01 Oct 2017Because every electronic device has bad units, but it is only when things happen in large numb... moreJust like how the iPhone 4 had antenna-gate (You're holding it wrong!), iPhone 5 has scruffgate (shoddy anodization), iPhone 5s and 5c had sensorgate (poor touchscreens), iPhone 6 had bendgate, iPhone 6s had chipgate (using two different chips with one inferior to the other, iPhone 7 (or really the iPhone 6ss) had hissgate (hissing sounds like a computer CPU fan), and now the iPhone 8 (aka iPhone 6sss) has cracklegate (crackling sound during calls) and splitgate (screen splitting from the body due to poor battery quality).
Yeah, Apple is well known for making shoddy products with defects and for acting like a$$holes blaming the users for the defects (You're holding it wrong!) and making excuses instead of acting honorably and taking the blame for it (At least Samsung had the decency to accept they made a mistake on the Note7 and recalled it despite the PR nightmare).
Mzma PIB, 01 Oct 2017Why no news here regarding Iphone 8 explode while charging just after 3 days in hand.. 1 case ... moreBecause every electronic device has bad units, but it is only when things happen in large numbers that it could be an actual design flaw.
Exploding Samsungs are an example of this, too many were happening to be ignored, which later proved to be a design flaw.
If more iPhone 8 units come out with this behaviour, then it will need to be looked at in detail. As it is, Apple is already looking into it.
Why no news here regarding Iphone 8 explode while charging just after 3 days in hand.. 1 case in Japan & 1 case in Taiwan..
Wills blanket1, 30 Sep 2017Ofcourse but Apple is only known for its optimisation but without optimisation Apple us ......... moreYes, they are known for their optimizations but Apple is also known for having a heck of a good SoC team for quite some time now. They were one year ahead of everyone else moving to ARMv8 (64-bit) and they have kept that distance.
And its definitely a bad sign that they can't get more out of this iPhones hardware than last years model... But my point was that Apples CPU would without a doubt work very well for Android also, especially the A11 which can use all cores at the same time. It more powerful in every way that the Snapdragon 835 for example.
Anonymous, 30 Sep 2017You obviously have not watch that many... Its no question about A11 being the more powerful of... moreOfcourse but Apple is only known for its optimisation but without optimisation Apple us ...........
Bunyip22, 29 Sep 2017I'm a Samsung fan but really who cares... No one opens multiple apps in quick succession. A... moreThis is spot on. I know it's amusing to get into a debate about which is the best of the best. But I am fine in the "mid-low" ranges of smartphonedom. That end gets better every yoer too and I am happy as hell to be there.
Wills blanket1, 30 Sep 2017Like A11 losing its speed test everywhere ? And you guys sayin it's not optimised meh, So thin... moreYou obviously have not watch that many... Its no question about A11 being the more powerful of the two. Again, every parameter speaks for it. The larger size CPU, the much faster benchmark and the more demanding the a real application is the larger the lead for iPhone is (look at image, video editing for example, the gap is huge).
But its not all down to the CPU. Apple have clearly messed up somewhere since the iPhone 7 is still faster than iPhone 8 in some test.
Is it some hardware bottleneck or a software thing? We have to wait and see.
Underwhelming release......No innovation, same design and barely has anything new to talk about. Fast charge, wireless charging, louder speakers, glass back (that scratches easily) and face recognition....ridiculous!!!!! Most people waiting for the X and the main talking point for that device is the fact that it has a Samsung screen.
I'll stick to android devices and the sheep I'm sure will continue to follow the trend.
