AnonD-244086, 29 Sep 2017Iphone X rules m8 not even SD 835 cant beat itIt says, 'India mobile congress', not many are going to buy iFruit X there, not to mention it probably won't launch there before 2018 considering supply constraints, more importantly it's gonna cost 33% more there than Note 8 at current price, and by the time it launches the price gap would widen even more as samsung might give a price cut by then, wonder how many would have even bought Note 8 at its current price but still it's gonna be whole lot more than iFruit X.

May be not 2nd by % but on sheer number of smartphone users, he is right. At least verify what you are saying before you say.
[deleted post]Chinese phones are not cr@p,I converted from Sammy's flagships to Chinese phones and get value for money, and no bloooody blote ware you cannot get rid off unless you go down the root road, maybe you just a troll and full of sh!the, yeah that's it , CORRECT ?
This year there are many phones that deserves phone of the year award. Be it note 8, S8+, V30, U11 and even XZ premium; whichever wins I wouldn't be surprised because they all are pretty good.
And there is iPhone X as well running for the award which is as good as S8 and V30 if not better. Though that cutout is a disaster and it shouldn't win phone of the year award based on it and no Fingerprint scanner.
What, Is not it in India Xiaomi or other Chinese phones are much more popular than Samsung?
aTrueBbLover, 29 Sep 2017India is ranked 2nd in world based on mobile users. So lots of people there who cares .India is ranked 2nd worldwide in population Sherlock. ROFL. And given the size of India it actually has more population than China even.
AnonD-646304, 29 Sep 2017Meanwhile devices of 2017 like the GoProHero6 and iPhone 8 both capable of shooting 4k@60 fps ... moreIts 2017 where samsung phones are having fast Wireless charging, optimized and well integrated Bixby, best displays, OIS on both of dual cameras, and many more things on list to be added, while fruit company yesteryear removed head phone jack, this year fingerprint scanner and left yes wandering what next? It gave Wireless charging atleast and that too not fast!!

Meanwhile devices of 2017 like the GoProHero6 and iPhone 8 both capable of shooting 4k@60 fps or 1080p@120/240 fps videos which is amazing for slow mo videos as it's part of the modern media nowadays ... While the Samsung 2017 mobile family is capable of only 4k@30fps or 1080p@60 maximum ...LOL what a joke
Note7 owner, 29 Sep 2017If the X was already released Note 8 wouldnÂ’t have won. What makes it special? The technology used for faceid is already used in xbox. Bezels are thicker than other bezelless phones. Camera is good. Nothing special about the screen, it's flat but has a notch at the top.
But I don't think N8 bought anything new either.
Note7 owner, 29 Sep 2017If the X was already released Note 8 wouldnÂ’t have won. If it works as good as it's iris scanner, it will be a winner.

Okay, it is absolutely obvious that a huge part why the Note 8 got the prize, is because of the adaptation of Bixby to the unique Indian English accent/s, etc. But having said that, overall the Note 8 really deserves some compliments, or something like that. Although I (& everyone else) have to live another 6 months (hopefully just 6) again with the absolute uncomfortable fingerprint location (mostly), instead of the in-screen-fingerprint scanner tech (awaited), and not even ordinary back centered (at least), such as the one of the V30 & all the others. Plus, the lack of dual stereo speakers & other things (such as a bigger battery, etc).
But again, let's hope that at least eventually we'll experience all these improvements, upgrades/innovations, etc., already within 6 months with the S9 (& not until the next Note 9). And plus other little tweaks but quite significant as well, such as: front 4K rec from QHD, main 4K 60fps and so on. Waiting.
Uhm, LG V30 has won 26 awards at IFA 2017. This is worldwide I guess?
