There a nearly 7 billion people on the planet so the only way to sell iPhone is having your customer Base buying a new phone every year
There are too many sellers , Samsung Xiaomi, Huawei, etc all selling phones for less how long Apple can sell 100 million phones is limited.

I don't know how good this offer is or how it compares to Apple annual upgrade which includes a cost to be on, but you will not be on the lowest tariff
The phone I buy has never been the upgrade phone TWO years later

So to get the 70% back, you have to buy the new crapple phone after a year. Even then, you'll only get a voucher, no money, to make sue the money stays in their hands.
What's more: The phone will be evaluated by store staff upon return. Sounds like, if you don't treat it like a raw egg and return it in mint condition, they'll probably flat out refuse taking it back.
This is beyond fishy already.

Reliance would provide redeemable vouchers worth the cashback, not real money. So even the 70% cash back again goes back to reliance next year.
Here is the term from Amazon (check last line):

From Jio website terms and conditions:
4.1.3.1. Jio 70% Buyback Promotion:
(a) The JIO 70% Buyback Promotion is available to all Users who purchase the iPhone 8 mobile phone on the Platform during the Term of the iPhone 8 Offer, and (a) operate the iPhone 8 mobile phone with an existing or new Jio SIM card which is active, and (b) purchase the INR 799 data plan from Jio, and keep such plan activated for 12 months from the date of purchase of the iPhone 8 mobile phone on the Platform.
