Fake leak. Look at the cameras.
Merwyn Fernandes, 30 Sep 2017As processors are getting more and more power efficient the need for larger battery is not imp... moreThere is only so much an efficient processor can do, and they mostly contribute to better standby times rather than SOT times. I can give you 2 examples which shows that battery capacity is of prime importance (with/without an efficient processor leads to better usage times)
Case 1: Let's take the top 2 performers. The Lenovo P2 with 149 hour rating and the Gionee M5 with 148 hours endurance. The P2 has a super-efficient SD 625 and 5100 mAh. The Gionee Marathon M5 has 6020 mAh and a lesser efficient Meditek. Yet see the individual scores for call, web and video. The Marathon is ahead by hours. And guess what? Despite packing 6020 mAh, the Marathon M5 is only 8.6 mm thick.

Case 2: Xiaomi's own Mi Max 2 reaped the results of combining a larger 5300 mAh battery and an efficient SD 625, over the original Mi Mix with a SD 650 and 4850 mAh. Not only is the Mi Max 2's overall score better, it's individual times for call and video are also hours ahead of it's predecessor.

Pia, 30 Sep 2017Xiaomi didn't remove the 3.5 jack to accommodate the batteries on the Mi6...they remove it to ... moreNope, you are WRONG.
Xiaomi gave the excuse that they left out the 3.5 mm headphone jack to accommodate a larger battery (of only 3350mAh). Here's the proof:

Pia, 30 Sep 2017Xiaomi didn't remove the 3.5 jack to accommodate the batteries on the Mi6...they remove it to ... moreno they are just following apple/htc lol. removing 3.5mm jack because of * list of tech * is just a lie.
Merwyn Fernandes, 30 Sep 2017As processors are getting more and more power efficient the need for larger battery is not imp... moreI agree. Power efficient chipsets dont need larger battery. Instead, manufacturer can shrink their battery capacity and saving a lot of resources but still have the same endurance rating as its predecessor. It make less sense if consumer expect to see battery size getting bigger and bigger each year. By now, smartphone should have 10,000mah battery going by that logic if the first smartphone had 1000mah battery 10 years ago. That just an example. Dont go all nerdy and telling me the first smartphone is not 10 years ago with 1000mah battery. Read EXAMPLE.
Why would anyone buying this phone need a dual camera setup? because iPhone has it? Nobody gave a hoot when HTC did in 2014.
I hope it's have dual sim and dedicated sdcard slot. Not Hybrid anymore.

But seriously, Xiaomi is getting worse at m... moreXiaomi didn't remove the 3.5 jack to accommodate the batteries on the Mi6...they remove it to accommodate the dual camera and they never include SD slot on their flagship since Mi3...
Camera setup is not good, same as lenovo k8 note. Mi a1 has better camera setup.
Srbin, 30 Sep 2017Yea battery was thir selling point i bought my mi max coz it had a 4850 mah battery. But, Mi Max 2 have 5300 mAh, and sot for 19h of usage :D
AnonD-632062, 30 Sep 2017I was more of a rhetorical question, actually. But seriously, Xiaomi is getting worse at m... moreLook at iPhone 8 1820 mAh battery in 2017 in that big body, and endurance rating about 60-65h max, for the price of 600euro, or price of 4 Redmi Note 4x with 3/32GB version.. :D

AnonD-632062, 30 Sep 2017I was more of a rhetorical question, actually. But seriously, Xiaomi is getting worse at m... moreThey copy what Moto did to Z Play and Z Force, cutting battery size of their successors.
Not full vision? Why xiaomi?
AnonD-632062, 30 Sep 2017I was more of a rhetorical question, actually. But seriously, Xiaomi is getting worse at m... moreAs processors are getting more and more power efficient the need for larger battery is not important anymore the same level of battery life can be obtained with a lesser capacity battery
Luxor, 30 Sep 2017To achieve a slimmer 7.5mm body. It has been said in the article.I was more of a rhetorical question, actually.
But seriously, Xiaomi is getting worse at making phones and better at making lame excuses.
First they said they removed the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the Mi 6 to "accommodate" the battery, which at 3350 mAh, is large by any standards (even Xiaomi's, considering how many 4100 mAh phones they used to release before this year). And the Mi 6 doesn't even have an external SD card slot!
And now you have the Mi Mix 2 with chops off the 3.5 mm headphone jack and drops the battery capacity by a whopping 1000 mAh! I don't think there is any phone in the history of mankind, with a successor so inferior to the predecessor.
does anyone know the release date for pre order ?
AnonD-632062, 30 Sep 2017What is wrong with with Xiaomi? Why are they downsizing their battery capacities?Yea battery was thir selling point i bought my mi max coz it had a 4850 mah battery.
