That logo on the front is awful. Why didn't they follow the trend of removing the front logo too? I'm liking the OLED and battery though.

calculate surface area diagonal length can't be compared since 18:9 is way taller but also missing a lot of width
After two years no one will want phones with rounded corners and taller than my remote control
Maybe this trend will die even quicker

Well, if you count the black bars on the top and bottom, sure but barely. Most 18:9 phone start at 6inch size. That is basically 5.7inch in 16:9 aspect ratio. Still think that screen any smaller than the typical 5.5inch 16:9? We not paying extra. How would you know you paying extra or not just base on screen size and ratio? Lol. You just follow your opinion and telling people what you think. Too bad people are not dumb and just follow what the guy on the comment section is telling them.

Do all the Chinese phones get produced in same factory and later sold as different brands. In last few month this is the most common design coming from all Chinese brands. Even the bezel design are more or less same. How can they copy so fast and effectively.

How can Gionee use the trademark "FullVision" display? I'm positive that it belongs to LG. They introduced it with the LG G6. LG could sue them but what's the point.

It's official. Transition to 18:9 aspect ratio is going to happen to all smartphone from now on. Regardless flagship or midrange, heck even the lower range is getting bezel less display. I want to see greater things by next year.
