The colours are awful. Dirt grey, light dirt grey and baby blue. Yuck.
With the Mate 9, they had such an awesome Red:

Sadly, it was very limited and already shortly after release impossible to get. They should've done a regular release with it now.
Those stripes on the back are a seriously bad idea, and that diagonal pattern is just plain awful, it just adds insult to injury.
Okay, it's not as ugly as the Pixel, but still.
I was considering this one, the Mate 9 is great, but now I'll better skip this, because Huawei is on a bad drug drip lately. First they bring this disgusting 18:9 ratio, then that ridiculous "This is not a smartphone" bs, now these pitiful colours with those awful stripes... No thanks!

They have a Dual Colour Body, ala Maybach or Rolls Royce or other brands that use that Dual Tone/ Dual Colour to signify Super Premium. Very Interesting Design language.
