For a long time I have been searching for a decent dual sim phone. I bought one earlier this year from a dodgy ebay seller (etouching) who never responded to my email request for instruction to make a warranty claim. As Ebay wouldn't do anything about e-touching unethical business practice, I have decided not to buy anything else from ebay again without at the very least being able to make a pick up purchase.

After extensive searching on the internet for the perfect phone, it looks like I found it, the Motorola XT882. After calling Motorola today to enquire about this phone, I was advised that this phone is only available from China.

Although I am reluctant to buy anything from China due to my experience with etouching, I really like the specs of this phone.

Is there a reputable online dealer from China who I can trust to sell me this phone and provide the same sort of service I would expect from a reputable Australian dealer? or are all Chinese retailers as bad as e-touching?

Does anybody know if this phone is expected to arrive in Australia? Motorola wasn't able to (or wouldn't) advise me if or when this phone would be available here in Australia.

It would be great for a major manufacturer to release a Dual SIM Android Phone. 3G on at least one SIM would suffice. Anyone listening?

All mobile phones manufacturers should NOT ignore the huge demand for dual sim (or even 4 sim) dual standby smartphones, in every country! Everyone desire a very good, fast and accurate GPS inside, a very good point and shot camera with full HD recording and xenon blitz, hi-fi stereo sound recorder and good audio / video player, single 1 Ghz chip or dual core...with enough RAM memory to run GPS aplications, games and multitaskink... an SuperAmoled display from Samsung and at least one model with full qwerty slide keyboard... We need a good, exciting and friendly OS, also...Android and Apple are the leaders right know. A marriage betwen them will bring alive the super software for mobile phones and not only... Need also a very good batery to power for long period of time this kind of gadget... Two days, at least...with Wi-Fi turned on... :D Everyone wants the perfect all-in-one comunication and multimedia device... don't you all agree? Why is not comming? The technology exists already!

just googled around and saw a video that shows its inside, its cdma slot and gsm slot, side by side, i thought it would be gsm/cdma and gsm/cdma for both slot, well, there goes a beautiful and potential phone for me..

Motorola are good with Android but they are aq weak selling point when sales of phones for Phone Shops. They do not offer the best where as HTC

This is no surprise, stuff in China are priced exponentially.
