Hmmm damn the humongous bezels.. lol are they seriously planning on selling the regular Pixel 2 for about $700?? The Pixel 2XL looks ok though the battery capacity and the 18:9AR screen is apply the brakes for my affinity for it. Tomorrow will help make things a lil bit more clearer.
It more n more looks like the regular Mate 10 with 16:9AR 5.9" screen and the capacious 4000mAh battery is pulling ahead on the buying decision race for me. Next in line is the V30 tho I have a few concerns with battery n the 2:1 screen ratio. Hmmm well well well..we shall see after Oct 16th...unless ZTE or Nokia throws a monkey wrench in the mix. Finger crossed.

Fail for the Normal variant. OK but nothing special for the xl.

i might as well get the 8s. better screen and cheaper. tho stock android is nicer, theres bound to be a custom rom out there

S-AMOLED (a bit better than LG's OLED) plus dual cam plus 6GB Ram that actually makes difference in multitasking and i cannot emphasize enough on these, it also comes with a headphone jack, SD Card slot, Bundled 256 Gig SD card, Wireless Charging capability and IP68 rating for water resistance. So i say scr*w google get note 8 if you plan on spending 900$ on a phone anyway. Those fast updates are not worth sacrificing all the goodies Samsung is providing in Note 8, that too google will support it 1 additional year over samsung generally updates its flagships, i.e. Note 8 will most likely receive android P whatever that is going to be.

Im sorry but, iph X design is... Pure nonsens.

They do give the best BUG for the buck. Bug in design. They sell exactly the same looking phones as last year, and that X one with enormeous screen cut out, and almost no bezel to operate the phone...
Having so much cash, it boogles the mind apple couldnt design a better looking than X, or any different phones than iph8.
Apple is doing a social experiment all right.

So you have to wait again two weeks longer for the Pixel 2 and nearly six weeks for the XL? That´s really ridiculous. When they charge Apple prices both should go on sale one week later.

Wow, who does google think they are? Barely anyone bought the pixel. The options for the new pixel is either an ugly one, or a copy of the galaxy s8....at Apple prices. It makes no sense. I know that market research went into the phone, but from what it looks like, they just copied other makers. Lol.

I think the Pixel 2 XL nails it, not a fan of completely "bezel less"! Disappointed with the loss, if true, of the 3.5mm jack but the front firing speakers and pure android means I may be prepared to compromise, up for debate at this point as I have pre-ordered the LG V30 from Carphone. I have to try out the audio capacities of the V30 before deciding but having owned every Nexus/Pixel (XL), I like my timely updates which is a drag with other OEMs.

Yah it is disappointing to find and wait for a Google so called "flagship" which comes out after all the others major phone companies and still cant deliver on flagship type expectations.
- No dual camera is a let down. Even LG v30 has dual camera which made the pixel XL-2
- bezel all over....Even though i can deal with that
- Seems like the only thing that was upgraded was the GPU, CPU and the software. Which are expected every year regardless of being a flagship or not
- The price should be at least 150 to 200 dollar cheaper than others since they did not deliver on better hardware. These phones do NOT deserve flagship type price
