Comparing them side by side, I'd go for the XL 2 coz the size difference between the two is almost non-existant already. Those bezels on the regular Pixel 2 is just too much. Even my friends who doesn't have any idea about mobile phones would think it's freaking ugly. Putting stereo speakers on the front wouldn't even justify them. Really disappointing coz the Pixels last year have the same bezel size. Then suddenly, this happened. I usually go for the smaller version, but nope, not this time.

The Pixel 2 XL will cost €900.
You can already get a Samsung S8+ for €595, and it will continue to get cheaper. LG V30 will soon be a similar price, too.
Google seem to want to sell a tiny number of these, like the first Pixels.

It's almost like HTC's Pixel 2 is trolling LG's Pixel XL 2.
HTC to LG: "You think your skinny bezels are fashionable?! Check out my massive bigger than usual bezels..."
These two make for an excellent case study of bezels. I think the despite the 1 inch screen diagonal difference, both phones won't have a big difference in dimensions. Seriously, though HTC should take a good look in the mirror.

The XL 2 looks like a competitor to the V30 and note 8, but the standard Pixel is pretty damn Fugly with those massive bezels IMO.

This is the most outdated design ever existed, even Apple did release iphone8 only 4 years old design. Well done google, you beat Apple in "disadvantage" war!

Pixel XL looks good.. but Pixel 2 is ugly.. comparing it to S8 and IPhoneX the bezel due to stero speakers looks horrible

The Pixel 2 has bigger bezels than Sony phones, and the Pixel XL 2 has the biggest side bezels I have seen on a modern smartphone. Talk about stupidity...
