I wonder if samsheeps will keep saying dxomark is bad or they will change tone and agreed it’s legit now that dxomark gave it co-champion.

As of my opinion, Video recording is smooth in iPhone 8 plus, when we zoom from main lens to telephoto lens, it works so smooth..
But galaxy note 8 suddenly the video jumps like quick zoom in and zoom out..
Please guys, check it once.. And reply me...

Even 5x would be nice. ... moreG5 has a great camera, I know someone with one and the photos reminded me of my old Nokia N8 (that's a good thing, except of course it has no Xenon), but the wide angle really makes a difference - we were at a festival and he has shown me how much of a scene he can catch from where we were.
As for DxO, I guess everyone is happy now. They changed their review method a few weeks ago (so old phones were tested differently), and also they always test on "automatic" (never using manual controls) but it's interesting enough to check out.

Shall be interesting. Not much space left up to 100. Camera performance is perhaps the most important competition parameter. And the iX and S9 are not that far away.

What happened if Apple and Samsung and other brand like Pixel etc reached 100 score in the future? Dxomark no longer relevant then.

I'm not surprised. All latest flagships have a great camera, anything above 90 and you are good to go.

Now Apple and Samsung lead the ranking.
I wonder if ppl that used to say it was paid now still have same opinion.
They should have to categories: single cam and double cam.
If Bokeh and zoom are evaluated now, you cannot compare a 26 or 25mm lenses that uses digital zoom against a 52mm with optical zoom.
They are very different.

[deleted post]That's also opinion based and you forget the part about Samsungs taking better quality photos. And yes especially with the v30 the manual options are best. But Samsungs are great too and don't have all the extra bells and whistles but more than cover the basics nd still have the better quality.
Especially to v30 that chose very low budget sensor.
But yes. Wide angle is cool

Anonymous, 03 Oct 2017Have fun photographing a lion with an ultra wide angle camera!!Have fun taking a photo of a huge portrait inside a museum in such a closed space. Backing out won't help you there. Even the front camera on iPhones are garbage. Still couldn't make it more wide-angle like the HTC One M7.

Telephoto is actually more useless. Better if it was 10x optical zoom. Even 5x would be nice. You can still use wide-angle during parties taking group photos. Or just taking photos inside a museum or at the beach.
This is why I sold my S7 edge a day after I sold my 5" Pixel. LG nailed it with the G5 last year. Pixel camera is overrated by DxO. S7 edge is overrated by reviewers all of last year like HTC One M7 in 2013 when all it does is offer unrealistic colors with yellowish low light photos and awkward ergonomics typing on a curved display.
I will stick to LG and the iPhone SE. The SE is the best iPhone ever made inside/out. X is a mediocre design only hyped because it's a new form factor from Apple after three years. I will never get a phone with an all-glass back again. And that notch. Yuck.
G5 is my all-time favorite phone ever which is why I repurchased it again for $350. My only mistake with my first G5 was getting it on Sprint. I despise that network.
