Europeans should boycott those outrageous greedy US-companies... Pixel2 starts for 649 Dollar in the US. In Germany they want 799 Euro for it! Even with taxes and fees you have to pay in some configurations 150 Euro more than a customer in the US for the same Pixel.

So my only choices right now are the Nokia 8, wait for the Nokia 9 or wait for LineageOS 15 to hit the Galaxy S8.

punmeisterone, 04 Oct 2017Why europeans have to get the cold shoulder from Google? -_-Coz of iFruit, they do it so google must copy them to be seen as premium brand, I used Nexus 4 it was such a great value for money, Now Google's just blindly following what apple is doing. No wonder they removed headphone jack the year they introduced Pixel Pods, they will tell that it's future but what it really is the greed for additional profits, coz you know people won't even consider buying their costly wireless headphones if google just provided 3.5mm jack, with that gone, some might give it a thought.

It's the American companies that are stupid, nearly nobody buys the Pixel phones in Europe and will definitely not do it at these prices for the pixel 2/2 XL.
BUT in general prices for phones are higher in Europe which makes people go for it anyway, iphones are atleast €100 more expensive in Europe than in the USA but that's also because apple (google as well) is an American company.

Some countries have import/export deals that make it much cheaper. I think there's a lot that goes into it. The conversion for the pixel XL from USD to CAD is $100 cheaper than what they are selling it for in Canada.
