Am a student in computer science's. My teacher told me that the only reason that apple is alive is because microsoft need competition. That's the reason why microsoft saved apple. People like me know that apple is only a marketing corporation. Nothing in there computer and phone belong to them. Their borrow technologie from other corporation like intel, samsung etc... tell me why allmost every industries run on windows and not mac? You will see apple gonna lost alot of market share because of google(android) and microsoft(wp7). Like a said apple is a fail corporation! !!!!
EndlessDream94, 09 Jun 2011This link doesn't show Apple being a "fail" at all. Apple only has roughly a few ph... moreLook like you said apple apple only have 4 model. Yes but if there were 6 more model for apple i dont think iphone 4 would out all the other super smart phone. The fact is if you want to have the latest of iphone there only one choice. For android you have so many to choice from. Motorola atrix, htc sensation, samsung galaxy s2, lg optimum 2x, xperia arc and etc.... apple are doing the same mistake of what they did whit there computer based. Look microsoft has 80% of the market share for the computer maybe more because we have alot of choice. Its going to happen in the smart phone markt share also you will. The link below show my point of view 53% golbal market its only the beginning for android. 53% WOW. That's why iphone 4 outsell the other super phone because we have only one choise if we want the latest.
I see the problem not serious. As I see from the video, it's the same performance of my Desire Z, and I find no problems using the phone. However I need to be careful when I use Wifi in landscape mode.
[deleted post]This link doesn't show Apple being a "fail" at all. Apple only has roughly a few phones that are making up this percentage while Android has dozens of phones (and the number keeps growing). Smartphone usage is also continuing to grow so Apple's numbers are also growing. Having the 2nd most popular mobile OS in the world while only having like 3 or 4 phones that its running on isn't a "fail". Its actually quite impressive! On this site alone its easy to head to many manufacturers and count about 5-10 phones running Android OS. If there were only 3 or 4 phones running it may not be as popular. Its all about perspective. The only thing that this shows is that Android, due to its strategy of allowing its OS on so many devices, has grown to become the most widely used mobile OS. I see no mention of RIM or Symbian, or WebOS, or Win phone 7 being a "fail".
[deleted post]If you say iPhone is fail by that stat, then htc is fail and samsung is fail, or do you really saying it's fair to compare one phone sells maybe twenty different phones combined even with many different brands. If we do fair competition, iPhone outsells everyone of those.
Last time zte and Apple was only ones who market share increased
"All of the top three phone makers above Apple and ZTE lost share during the period. "
But really who cares?!?!?!! :)
This is bullocks... I got the HTC Sensation and I held it exactly like that and nothing happened.... if you want i can send u a video even... sometimes I really doubt the credibility of GSMARENA... think am gonna turn to other websites for reviews if this is the case...!
Sorry to disappoint all of you, i m not a big fan of HTC but i must say this signal issues isn t true at all, i have a Sensation since 2 day and i didn't front any issues at all .Wifi is working defenetely good , maybe i bar drops down but afther a few seconds is back again ...really notjing to worry about it if u like the phone buy it , is not like iphone4 trust me...but if u were looking for a real fast phone the Galaxy sII is a real turbo compare to Sansation and Lg Dual...
The so called "death grip" in iPhone is the result of their engineers' incompetence how radio devices work. They don't have a clue actually on designing radio equipment. If, when you were a child have touched the antenna of your radiocassette player playing a weak station you know this leads to even worsening of the signal. That's simply how it is. And it works on the opposite for TV signal. Apple's engineers failure to know that simple fact only proves they're completely incompetent about how cell phones work, as this information is written in bold in every polytechnical school's textbook. So either they haven't studied enough even in high school (god forbid about finishing university) or they're delirious. Both, it speaks very, very bad about Apple's engineers' "competence" and Apple's so called "revolutionary quality" :D Just imagine how big they screw up with computers, if they find it so hard to design a simple cell phone :D
For me the Samsung Galaxy II was the first phone that ticked all the boxes (including any Iphone offering), I was just waiting for similar from the HTC Sensation but with a slightly better user interface & slightly less sensitive. Also optimistically hoping for improvement on music quality (which the Iphone does do better than most, but hasn't been a focus for others including HTC). All outweighed by signal issue, I can happily buy the Galaxy II which means future allegiance will switch. Silly of HTC and we will have to see fickle others loyalty is.
Anonymous, 09 Jun 2011Got our store demo in today and iv been haveing a hard time getting this "death grip"... moreIt appears the issue is with WiFi. I'd be interested to know the results if you are able to test the WiFi connection. I expect that if you are close to the router, it should be fine. Any issue would be more prominent if you move far enough away from the WiFi router where the signal is weaker to begin with.
[deleted post]Not you again...Is your troll mind so simple that it can not realize what you just said?Your blaming an OS for hardware problems? What in the multiverse have you been someking? But then again i do not expect much more from a Nokia fan boy. That is not to say that i support HTC for lieing that is just wrong.theyshould just admit it and fix it simple as that
once again everyone slags of apple. but here we have a company with the same problem. and guess what at least apple admit there problems.
and fix them. bet HTC wont, they just deny it. and carry on as if nothing happened.
I have HTC Sensation and it does not do anything of the sought.
I use to work for one of the major networks, and I ran a test on the iphone 4. I found the signal did not drop on 2G, but only on 3g.
Also not all customers had issues with the so called death grip. How many phones did they test, to confirm there is an issue here.
The Sensation is the best handset I have ever used, and I have a I phone 4.
there wont be any network prob nor thr will be any wifi or bluetooth prob if u hold the phone normally :-)
[deleted post]Well then how come nokia never had problems with "signal" ? how is it that nokia was once the best selling mobile phone for many years? How is it that Nokia was one of the first on the smartphone market with its own OS that introduced tons of functionality which nowadays are only perfected and had a very long reign? I bet that almost every person that knows abit about phones owned a Nokia.
Lets be honest Nokia was and maybe still is a top mobile phone manufacturer.
Why is this not all over the news? Surely a MASSIVE company like HTC should be highlighted as having flaws.
Got our store demo in today and iv been haveing a hard time getting this "death grip" to affect signal strength iv been holding the phone every way possible. Have not tried out wifi yet.
This is the reason for me for keep gsmarena in my few favorites. and the reviews part too. no sarcasm whatoever
I'm disappointed in HTC. I use the Desire Z and it is a very good phone. There were some reports that the WiFi signal weakens when held in landscape mode. At least on mine, I notice it when far away from my router, but it does not affect my connection. I would have figured HTC would be aware of possible issues and ensure that this doesn't get worse. I expect signals will be affected somewhat by how the phone is held. As long as you don't lose the signal completely, it should be fine as is with my Desire Z. The initial reports aren't good for the Sensation. I'm intersted in seeing any further investigation that GSMArena does on this issue.
