The difference occurs when you look at the software experience. Even the next gen 1+5 and note 8 drop more frames (https://www.xda-developers.com/note-8-real-world-performance-analysis/), and provide a less predictable experience than the pixel.

At least they'll come with an included fast charger like many Android phone brands, unlike Apple which charges you separately for something that should be included in the box (instead of a mediocre 5W adapter).

Means you can push 8 A53 cores in the same die-size as 2 Kyro cores, when using the same process. The Adreno 530 GPU is about 2.5 times the shader cores compared to the Adreno 506 GPU. Since the shader cores are not the only part of the GPU, but should be the bulk, one could say that the GPU is about twice the size.
On the same process, the SD820 should be around twice the size as the SD625, roughly speaking.

Other than that main one, there might be another such as GPU but I don't have any info, just use logical thinking that 530 should have more transistors than 506, so 530 could be bigger.

And yet, it still manages to be about the same price as the pixel 2 with far, far more features and better specs.
At least the Pixel 2 costs is fine at 650$ but pixel 2 XL is pushing it too far

Faster upda... morei agree p2 has better battery but performance is mid range in front of pixel 2. my point is that if lenovo can put 5k battery at 8.3mm body then why not other manufactures? atleast they can put 4k mah just to match that high performance with a good battery life. it will be great if they do it. nowadays all the flagships (there are only few exception) suffers from battery issue. i would love to have a QHD AMOLED with a good battery life because that sounds a flagship deal. dont you think that a flagship should have a flagship grade battery life? my question to all flagship users

I never said we should pay more just because samsung has a marketing department and they have to fund their departments one way or another.
Having a functional R&D and marketing department justifies at least a part of the price but when google designs a very average device and removing the headphone jack brings nothing different from the competition

And you think updates make or break a phone?
I would rather get 1 update that is very stable and doesn't make the phone a laggy PoS like all the galaxy phones when the get to their latest update.
Oneplus might not have the latest updates first but their ability to add features snd listen to their costumers is far more valuable than having stock rom with 0 features and minimal upgrades each year.

its android version use more ram as its full of stuff and features so sure its has more ram but do its manage it better than a clean android? i highly doubt it.
Its also much inferior to pixel camera , software update ect.
its not comparable product.
