AnonD-669148, 08 Oct 2017Edge is the worst browser ever, totally unusable!Yeah it has a lot of issues but on Windows it's still more optimized than Chrome. For example on my tablet (it has intel core m3 6th gen), in Chrome I can't even play 1440p videos but Edge can handle 4k with CPU load under 15%. Chrome has major performance issues and maybe on Android it will be actually good.

Yet, Google does the same copying Apple's phones and Apple copying Microsoft desktop operating system from Microsoft, see its new file system and office suite, all goes in a circle spinning around you, till you get dizzy and tired of all these stupid updates meant to take your dollars.

The entire Edge shtick has been one nascar racetrack in confusion for Windows. No clear direction on what the company wants to focus on, just shovel out subpar software solutions to try(?) and slow down other tech competitors...while going around in circles.

If I was given tin foil for a swanky new hat, I wouldnt put it past M$ to start throttling down other browsers using OS side hurdles just to push their own browser ahead with slick paid PR lies like " it's generally better for your laptop's battery life compared to its peers ".

What may have been a outlandish nightmare in the past is now just a wait-and-watch guessing game under Satya Nadella's M$.

I have used Edge. It's okay, but nothing special.

                * Firefox - Good plugin collection

                * Chrome - A resources hog, needs lot of RAM.

                * Opera - Good for low end PCs and slow connections. Built in VPN.

Really eager to try this!!! It works beautifully in my desktop and it's way faster than Firefox and Chrome that I've tried. Good job!

It does load in HTML5 and other websites faster. For example, some heavy websites with adblock on take a good 10-15 seconds to load in while on Edge it may only be 4-9 seconds. If you're in a rush, it is indeed a better choice, at least for me.

Without EdgeHTML it's pointless. And that bottom toolbar looks so dated. It need upper address bar and good swipes to quickly switch between tabs, close them and open new.
