Yet my phone usage has meant that I'm no longer glued on a sofa or a chair sitting in front of monitor or tv. I would say that is a net positive overall. :-)

If you're using your phone for more than a third of your day, something is wrong with you, not the battery life of any smartphone(s) you've used...
Even if you put a 10,000 mAh battery, it wouldn't last more than 8 hours in my hands. I'm never happy with the battery backup on any phone..
Finally they wake up

Samsung used to have a 3600 mah battery in the S7 edge but now they for a 3500 mah for the S8+ and 3300 mah for Note 8.
Samsung keeps decreasing battery capacity and getting worse every year.
Just be grateful you have a large battery with an effecient processor
Just keep getting better and better every year.
Big battery on a smal optimized software is not a big deal.
4000 mAh for 9 generations in a row?? Disappointing. They should increase battery every generation like Samsung did. Still better than Apple reducing IPhone 8 cost by decrease battery size.
AnonD-456831, 05 Oct 2017Been there with my Lenovo P780 in 2013, Lenovo K920 in 2014, and now with my Xiaomi Mi Note 2.... moreThat's because those aren't FLAGSHIP phones. Cheap phones tend to compromise specs with larger batteries.
Been there with my Lenovo P780 in 2013, Lenovo K920 in 2014, and now with my Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Old tech.
I really hope 40000 mAh becomes the flagship standard in 2018.

I just ordered a leeco on Amazon , dirt cheap with big battery and snapdragon821 which I will flash with the latest rom at a fraction of the cost of a Samsung or Apple with similar performance as a backup to my LG G5
I refuse to buy any phone with battery (non-removable) below 5000mAh. 4000mah is too low.
Huawei > Apple
This is why I love Huawei. They don't compromise on what matters most. All your cameras, speedy SoC, netflix streaming, apps, etc wouldn't mean $#1t if you don't have the juice to run it. Have fun carrying around a brick to charge your phone every 4-5hrs. God forbid what would happen if you have an emergency and don't have a charger or outlet nearby...
This might make AI assistants even weirder in public.

"Look mate, I don't know you and I don't know Trump's age"
J o m s, 05 Oct 2017What? Even my trusted Le Pro 3 has 4100mAh battery so Huawei, no deal. =DThe problem is your brand. LeEco is nothing but a shell of their overambitious self. They failed to takeover the world as some household brand. To me and probably everyone else, they're nothing.
