Other manufacturers make beautifully design phones with very stock rom (Essential phone).
And i definitely think that pixel 2 looks way better than the first generation pixel and in no way ugly

So you actually pay for the pure Android experience and for quick updates. But one question remains: does Google wants its loyal fans to be seen in public with such ugly devices ?

I am planning to switch to this device, I am still rocking with my Motorola moto z force droid. But those features that Motorola implemented over the stock android is way better than this, I was really hocked up to those special gesture and moto mods and I cant live without out it. maybe the z2 farce is a good choice, moto also keep on pushing timely updates for their flagship devices.. ohhhh man im so confuse about this beasts phones...

That is most aspect when it comes to attracting costumers but Google just seems to lack everything that is attractive to the average consumer.
If they really wanted to rival apple, add more "useful" features, better design, lower price tag and advertise the hell out of it.
Google already has good brand recognition but lack a marketing team
