Vegetaholic, 08 Oct 2017Very surprised by results, Sony died long time ago, they been behind for yearsThey are far from dead, on the contrary they been making some very positive strides over the last several years.
Best thing I would say Sony has going for high end Xperia's at the moment is software support, they have been on fire in this regard and far ahead of the competition (Google own Pixel line excluded of course).
Worst thing is still the camera I would say, they are getting better each time sure, but as many a review have stated they still lag behind here.
So far from dead, but I think you'll see major changes in what comes next......

I currently using XZ1 for 1 week.. Personally, I'm impressed.. Performance is super fast, very smooth.. The camera is amazing, very sharp detail. Only the LED flash seems not too bright. Overall, for multimedia experience, speaker and build quality, XZ1 deliver in style.. Proud owner"

Sony as usual is the best... The unique design of Sony is beyond comparison looking forward to buy xz1 soon. It's like Android ios and SONY😍 it definitely stands out.

Hopefully sony make an OLED screen for their flagship phone. I want OLED display for my next phone but i haven't seen anyone from current phones today which met what i am looking for in a smartphone.

I'm thinking about an upgrade (after all the phone is 4.5 years old). How many china brand users can say this about their replicas?? Sony lasts for years while others last only a few months.
I think my next phone will be the XZ Premium or XZ.

Are you out of your mind? what did you mean by ''more than people need''. a great battery life that last more than two days is always welcome. maybe a loner like you stays at home the whole day and have no idea of what a real life working man needs.

Anonymous, 08 Oct 2017Remember Sony is going to do that nonsense bezel-less design next year. See you there XDRedesign will happen next year, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee a bezel less design, or maybe you have a proof of it from another dumb site.
Besides, even if Sony does, they will probably do something good to it. The same way they implemented fingerprint scanner on the best location on a smartphone (side-mounted), and the best way of increasing the resolution of the screen (skipping the unnecessary QHD and instead went UHD in an instant).
It may have smaller bezels, but not bezel less, and it will remain in standard 16:9 ratio with no nasty black borders and letterboxing.

And Im quite sure it will be a less bezel design, but certainly not bezeless.

XZs over XZ1 but XZ1 Compact is definitely worthy of praise as it is the only Compact Flagship phone to date with top specs.
