What you don't really understand is the Status factor. In the U.S it's more of your niche and individuality that matters. In Emerging Markets it's about displaying how much money you have, how can you show you're wealthier than your neighbor. There was a time where Emerging Markets would buy an expensive Blackberry+ iPhone 4 and they would chant "Blackberry because BBM, iPhone because iPhone".
Why on earth do you think the automobile industry loves Emerging Markets?

"Do Not Disturb" was implemented in Waze several months ago. Whenever I'm driving and my daughter using her phone, Waze's would ask her if she is a driver or passenger. Even Andriod Auto (on your phone)has the same feature and it has been out for a while now (months).
Andriod Auto app... Click on the Hamburg bar, Click on Settings, Highlight "Use Bluetooth; Turn Bluetooth on when Andriod Auto is running". That is if you allow Andriod Auto to autostart when connect when connecting to your car (that is if your car has a built-in Bluetooth connection).

As various people on here have commented, this type of feature was probably provided by the OEMs mentioned, but Apple first integrated it into their OS as a feature available to all who have iOS 11 onwards.
