Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017my 2 years old xiaomi also gets firmware update. xiaomi really care to their customers. and of... moreagreed, if only the warranty and import stuff can be sorted out more easily, they will definitely be more popular
Hey.. how about the bug fix update for th xperia c4 and c5?all soft keys/soft home/navigation botton is not working... fix update.. why no support
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017Is that a bad thing...? (sorry, wrong reply, I'm suppose to reply the replied comment) what features do you want? I'm using Z5c in LP for stability and battery life. What's so different with N or MM? Updates are always worrying, issues here and there. LP is the most stable.
regs, 09 Oct 2017Better maintain current size 126-127 mm tall and fill it with 5'' screen. Then it no longer serves its purpose; being a compact phone.
4.6" is more than adequate, and there's no need to increase it. If we continue to increase this, then we might come to a point where 5.5" would be considered "too small" for a smartphone screen size standard.
I got the 7.1.1 update in my X Compact. I wonder if other companies update their non flagship devices aswell.
No Updates received in US for Sony Xperia Z5 Premium Dual yet
Its still running 32.4.A.0.160
Best of GSMARENA - 'The size of the update is 400 MB and at first glance doesn't bring any dramatic feature or UI changes'. More accurately '...doesn't bring any dramatic feature or notable UI changes from the day Z5 Series were launched till now!'
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017It would be great if they made a flat, 16:9, 4.6in HD or FHD with straight cornersBetter maintain current size 126-127 mm tall and fill it with 5'' screen.
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017competitor's A series also gets 2 years of support, like their S and Note series. but you bet... moreSGS6 received slightly over a year of major support. They ceased it officially.
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017lets see how sony will implement this less-bezel design. i hope it will be very goodIt would be great if they made a flat, 16:9, 4.6in HD or FHD with straight corners
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017Same thing as an "old" flagship, most have the update period of 2 years, if you buy it 1 year ... moreIn terms of updates, yes that's true (if you exclude iPhones)
In terms of quality, the flagship will still have a better camera, faster storage, higher clocked ram, a better display, better materials and things like that
regs, 09 Oct 2017Hope they won't give up us on next Compact with Mirai design - Edge-to-edge, maintaining XZ1 C... morelets see how sony will implement this less-bezel design. i hope it will be very good
Anonymous, 09 Oct 2017Glad they at least support their high end phones. I made my Xperiences with mid range Xperia M... morecompetitor's A series also gets 2 years of support, like their S and Note series.
