The only one to blame for nokia having any trouble selling symbian devices is Elop. if he hadn't made that burning platform pile of shit, symbian devices would still be flying of shelves and in fact, with the improvements in s^3, at an accelerated rate.

If at all he felt nokia was not well posed to create its own ecosystem, why announce a the burial of a platform that isn't dead?

The more Nokia moves away from Meego, the less I'll support them. Intel & LG are quickly becoming supported by me.

"Apple's iPhone and Google's Android are to be blamed for the current Nokia situation."

I disagree. Nokia has itself to blame for the current situation. Apple and Google did not make the N97. Nokia did. Even if there were no iPhone or Android phones, the N97 still sucks. It can't even play the proper ring tone or properly connect with a Nokia BlueTooth headset without issues. What did Apple or Google have to do with that?
