Mi 6 will not be launched in India
ram shortage is hitting smartphones now too
I'm sure it is for the Indian launch of Mi6, because one news article had correctly predicted Mi Mix 2 launch with a full calendar of launches:- www.techook.com/news/xiaomi-will-launch-these-smartphones-in-india-in-the-coming-months/
Now I know it mixes up on the schedule, and A1 was launched instead of its MIUI counterpart, but for most part, I think the news is accurate...
I've been considering Mi6 for some time, let's see if it launches.
4GB is not bad by any definition, even if midrange phones have started having it.
CSVM, 12 Oct 2017I had lot of hopes on MI launching good configuration with affordable prices. But i lost hope... moreBecause their main market is China, so for the rest of their market target will only get what's left
So... maybe is the one which will go to India, Mexico (with Band 4 enabled) and Hong Kong?
I think this is for SEA and Indian market. They began to expand quite vigorously now.
"This would lower the price" ... yeah but it would do so by cutting one of the most essential specs of android phones ram. Unless you're planning to keep your phone for a year or less I would strongly advice to buy the version of the phone with the most ram possible (whichever phone you may choose).
Way too many people are finding now the hard way that as it turns out 2GB on Galaxy S5 was too little and it is now slow as a dog while the older (!) Note 3 actually performs better. You don't want to buy a phone to last you 3-4 years only to become dogslow after the 2nd year is passed.
And don't tell me that 4GB is enough. Future versions of android and apps would find a way to make it obsolete as it did with 2GB and is now doing with 3GB phones ...
There is one rule when buying an android phone. You can go cheap in many thing, but never go cheap on RAM you're *bound* to regret it...
asf, 12 Oct 2017why do you need a 3.5 mm headset jack if you can upgrade to wireless ....? its the 21st centu... moreQuality and no battery nonsense
I hate Chinese skins with a passion, I wish more Chinese OEM's used stock Android like Nokia does now.
Aj, 12 Oct 2017Haha...Stock clearance before new flagship. Expect the Indian launch very soon priced at aroun... moreAt last let them now aunch the flagship killer at killer price.. I was waiting for the MI6 since it's first leak however after lunch they confirmed that it's not for Indians!!! Hoping this will reach our country and people who look for compact design flagship phone at affordable price will be Happier..
Good news (for those that can manage without the SD slot, even more than the 3.5mm jack).
I'm a bit suspicious, Xiaomi tends to do unnoticable upgrades in situations like this. Well, if they put Mi Note 3 cameras here, then that would definitely be a plus.

asf, 12 Oct 2017why do you need a 3.5 mm headset jack if you can upgrade to wireless ....?
its the 21st centu... moreBecause wireless headphones with normal are some expensive for me.
And i have headphones with normal sound and 3.5 mm now.
Besides it is inconvenient, to have headphones, that needs charging.
asf, 12 Oct 2017why do you need a 3.5 mm headset jack if you can upgrade to wireless ....? its the 21st centu... morebecause most of us already have good quality and expensive headphones which require 3.5 mm jack and there is nothing outdated about 3.5 mm jack.
AnonD-706436, 12 Oct 2017It is pity, that 3.5 mm for headphones is absent in this smartphone :(
