5 finger gesture support? For a said "game-centric" device a 5 finger gesture support is a bit least doubtful. Almost all smartphone now a days, even those who falls in the mid-range have 10 finger gesture support for a better touch and response experience. If it's true that this will have only 5 finger support then it may likely lead to, if not poor, mediocre gaming experiences especially to smartphone MOBA where touch sensor plays a big part.
8GB RAM I think has a lot of impact here, regardless of chipset used. We also need to see if Razer has any specific accessories planned around the phone.
These are likely the key differentiators determining whether it will be a hit or miss. Here's hoping.

You certanly do no want something like that in a phone, in a tablet it's ok, they have massive battery and room to cool SOC, but i a phone? Not a good idead.
New generation of Tegra required.
Now anybody who has money can "make" a new brand phone. Just sketch your wish: display brand, size, case shape, border thickness, material, color and type of chipset, then contact a Chinese factory to make a batch with your brand on them. Do not forget to send one sample to gsmarena.

Vegetaholic, 13 Oct 2017Booooring! Really expected something better, like Tegra chipset with Maxwell or Pascal graphic... moreNvidia exited the mobile platform in 2015. So unless they had a surprise re-entry, then Razer doesn't have much other option but Qualcomm.
AnonD-632062, 13 Oct 2017It's high-end for sure...The more high-end it will be, the better it will be!!!.
Corkscrew, 13 Oct 2017That would be pretty awesome, actually. Good call!Thanks. If forgot to add that I suggested this 2 or 3 years ago but the marketing guy for the Zenfone products said they have no plans for doing one as they are focused with their current smartphone products.
Booooring! Really expected something better, like Tegra chipset with Maxwell or Pascal graphics, phone will be no different than any other flagship, basically useless for proprietary gaming
B. Thien, 13 Oct 2017Agree it's 2-3 gen behind competitors but still tegra x1 have some games that others don't, li... moreThat is mostly just a sofware lock. It's not realy that other SOCs don't have enough power ... it's just nVidia man, they funded port for android, sure they will lock it to their devices.
The Talos Principle just arived on iOS and they don't have a device with a Tegra SOC.
Anonymous, 13 Oct 2017looking forward to Chroma lighting and no battery life.
really, though, RGB LEDs on the side... moreWhat if the sides and the back are glass?
And that LED lights up all over the phone... and its used like a notification light.
Red = Battery low
Orange = Missed Call
Yellow = New Message
Green = Charging
Blue = New Notification
Purple = Connected to Razer Core
looking forward to Chroma lighting and no battery life.
really, though, RGB LEDs on the sides would be cool in a silly way. or a translucent physical home button with RGB illumination. something ridiculous
Corkscrew, 13 Oct 2017Same SoC as all current and recent flagships? I was hoping that they'd at least try to get Teg... moreI was expecting the same, as a gaming phone they are supposed to use the best processor out there at least at the GPU department and sadly right now the SD 835 isn't. Let's wait.
Corkscrew, 13 Oct 2017Same SoC as all current and recent flagships? I was hoping that they'd at least try to get Teg... morelol, the Tegra X2 is by far inferior to the SD 835. Get your retarded head out of your dumb ass.
Same SoC as all current and recent flagships? I was hoping that they'd at least try to get Tegra X2 or something on that level. What a disappointment. :(
