No, not even remotely close. The Pro is clearly worse than the non-Pro in many regards:
- horrible 18:9 instead of sane 16:9, resulting in a smaller phone with less usable width. That alone would already be enough to disqualify it, but there's still much more.
- lower screen resolution, from QHD to FHD, so the screen is a double downgrade after going already from sane 16:9 to awful 18:9.
- no extensible memory anymore, the SD card slot has been removed.
- likewise, the headphone jack has been removed for no good reason except creating higher wear and tear on the USB-C port. Planned obsolescence.
- no wireless charging, to make sure the USB-C port does wear down quickly.
For this clearly worse phone with worse and less features, they really expect people to pay more? It would already be a seriously bad pick, if it was priced the same as the non-Pro.
Only the Porsche Edition is even worse than the Pro. It has no difference from the Pro (as far as I can see from the comparison page on this site), except for bigger internal memory, yet they charge almost double the money for it. What's their target group for the PE? Mentally handicapped people? XD

skimminstones, 16 Oct 2017lol of course 4GB is enough. Yeah if you keep a phone for 12 months (at most) and like reloading apps 4GB is enough.
BTW all 4GB phones are being *murdered* in phonebuff or similar tests.
RAM is the no1 reason for android slowdowns and you want to keep it at its minimum? Good luck with that.

They know how to make more money. Get people to foc... moreHow is a QHD screen essential? Do you VR on your phone? Because if you don't I doubt you could readily recognize it from a FHD one at 9-10 inches distance ... you mostly can't.
FHD is the most that phones should use , anything more is a gimmick unless your VRing...
Even Samsung realized that and default their QHD panels at FHD resolution because people can't.tell.the.difference.
What a waste of resouces.
I think this phone is the perfect 6 incher. Everything that Mi Mix 2 wished to be but failed.
Amoled screen, 4000 MaH battery, actually powerful cpu instead of that handicap called snapdragon ... in gereral what a phone!

Much better option than Mate 10 price wise, just no audio jack is really a blow, and chipset is to much overhyped, it is not better than sd 835 or exynos 8895

skimminstones, 16 Oct 2017lol of course 4GB is enough. Galaxy S8 and S8+ owners said the same thing. Then Samsung added 2 more gb RAM and the difference is night and day between them and the Note 8. So yeah, 4gb might be enough for some. I want nothing less than 6 in an Android flagship phone.

2017 is a day to mourn all flagships from the big three: Samsung, Apple and Huawei.
I still missed a day of P9 series success, until it has made Huawei being recognized by me as one of a major OEM.
Before that, I don't even know that Huawei is producing a good phone too.
Today, I want to forget Huawei name, let it be just a nightmare to be forgotten.
