As current rumored Specs stand it would fall woefully short of being cutting edge. Let's hope Google and (Samsung) whomever manufactures the next Google phone takes heed. Although nice that it will have ICS (A-v4.0) without pushing the hardware envelope it'll pale against then current devices. Its understandaable it won't include the 4-core KaEl but 5MP when most topine phones are launching at 8MP? And 720p rather than 1080p or I? Persoannly if its to be a "huge" display and utilize Android 4.0 then it needs to be the be-all and end-all not just another so-so device. Come on Google....Push The Envelope

Iffy specs. There is no such thing as a 1 megapixel front facing camera resolution. It's not standard. It either has to be 0.3, 1.3, or 2 megapixels.

my n95 with really old 5mp camera takes better pictures than most 8 megapixel phones now. My point is the sensor and the lens are way more important than the megapixel count.

For all of you bashing the camera and for the person who wrote this article, the number of megapixels doesn't mean squat. A larger and better quality sensor and a good lens on a 5mp will beat anything above it if it doesn't use quality parts. The reason most phone pictures don't look that great is because they use cheap parts compared to most full size cameras.

But Se's cameras are so overrated. K750i was great, but K800 had iso set to 400 when strobe was used, K850i and newer flagships had cheap matrices and plenty of chroma noise. It seams that only Nokia and Samsung care about photography in phones these days, arc's quality is joke, typical lack of detail and chroma noise, like 200X sony cameras.

I don't think it matters how good they say it is, consumers who want a good camera phone won't buy it with only 5 mega pixels.

Sound nice.True or false the next Google phone will be great.I am a SE fan but using HTC Desire HD because my x10 got stolen:(The desire iz really nice,I like it a lot.Still waiting on SE to release a n8 kill/galaxy s2 kill.How bout a 16mp dual core 1.5ghz,4-4.5" screen with hd quallity,1080p @30fps,as thin as possible with xenon flash,a great battery,8gb rom& 1gb ram.Something2make ppl jaw drop......I dreaming right:)Well SE needs 2get bk doing what they use2do.....be#1.Other brands great,just like SE better.Oh an release both wp7&android latest OS versions of the monster phone:)

Most photos taken by mainstream... moreNokia may be struggling but they have full offline map support for lots of countries, build quality is very good, decent internals with loudspeakers and call quality which put others to shame. They have good battery life and they are very competent devices even with an older UI.

I used to have a 6700 with the 5 mp camera it is one of the best .

After n8 i think it s the next best thing. Dont forget sony has a 16mp sensor coming soon. if the next nexus is htc am gonna buy it because i currently using nexus 1.
