That's why I'm going for the mate 10 pro. Xzp have i been told from a tester, that the camera isn't that amazing as expected. Op5 is a point, configure and shoot so I won't recommend that. But if you give yourself time to configure, it's an ok camera. Great performance otherwise.

My brief time with Note 8 in the sho... moreAs Dxo became seriously dubious and illogical in their scoring, I suggest you to use your desktop computer and google web compares of all these phones cameras, and just look at the photos on your big screen 1:1, without reading into revs subtext, opinions and explanations. They all talk and talk about pixel, this or that, but in the end it is what you as a user find most striking in a photo taken.
Just choose the phone which in your opinion makes best quality photographs in all these compares, and then also count in their extra features you feel you might use and enjoy.

G6 was not that bad. At least better than OP5.

I don't own iPhone 8, 8+, Note 8, Pixel 2/8", or Mate 10. My brief time with Note 8 in the showroom didn't impress me all that much, it is still a mobile camera, a good one but not one which can top point-and-shoot digital cameras in my opinion. I'm no expert.
So, to people who actually own these things, my question is, are these phones really that better than last year? And are they really that better than U11, XZP? I don't mean any insult to any company, just curious. I need to buy a point and shoot,.

This is the first time , and probably , the last that I will comment enything here.
Mate 9 and Mate 10 don't use the same lenses , yes both have the same sistem of 2 cameras 12 rgb + 20 mono, but mate 9 use ,,Summarit" lens , mate 10 use ,,Summilux" that is big different . Second f1.6 is much much faster and have more light that f2.2 . About Dxo mark , someone write ,,mate 9 85 ... mate 10 97 " guys old and new sistem on Dxo mart is not the same , totaly different . And one more thing someone write that Gsm arena show that mate 10 is just a little better that the mate 9 , so I recommended you to look again in picture if you know where to look ...or you can wait for youtube battle between cameras . And of course , the most important thing , better software give you better photo , lenses and megapixels don't mean a lot ...

Mkhb said the truth about this dxo results. It's all about personal preference and if the quality of the camera is good it's good. This test results aren't as accurate as real world pictures taking scenarios such as light level and camera image processing.

This DxO is just simply ldiotic.
Actual image quality is not important for them, and they give additional points for some features that have nothing to do with images/video quality.
Every year they change their ratings to fit new phones. We could get phone that score perfect 100/100 and next year they would change their test. So what is the point of such test?
Image quality is image quality. You cant invent here anything new. All what your test need to do is compare photo quality to real life. The end. Additional features, like effects or new settings should be listed AS features that not give a phone more points.

So mate 10 pro scores 97, Pixel 2 scores 98, Note 8 and iP8 score 94 each, choice is pretty much easy, Apple Google and Huawei can go scr*w themselves, Note 8 with a headphone jack is the clear winner here....
