This is exactly what Apple wants. iPhone 8 & 8+ are stop gap arrangements to make up for the delay of iPhone X which is the only True Apple flagship for the year. 8 & 8+ makes the X look extraordinarily good. Trust me folks this X thing is gonna sell like hot cakes. Doesn't matter what price tag it carries.

Obviously... What does the 8 duo has more over the X? NOTHING. And over the 7 duo? The usual CPU enhancements that no one actually notice and some fiddling with the camera, along with a new screen to replace, but instead of a display it's a wireless charger. Nothing to brag about.
Also, in US/CA, people can afford the expensive model (most Androids in US/CA are flagships like the S8,7,6), so they wait.

i'll buy iphone if it can run mac osx when connected to external monitor.
but i know apple wont make it happens. their priority now is just milking their customer.

iPhone 8 is a superflop product. A device priced at 61000 inr and it is 4.7 inch screen with 2 gb ram , pathetic resolution and they consider India as their important market. At the right time google pixel came and also Huawei Mate 10 . People have much more options now even who are ready to blow away 65000/- cash ( 1000$ ) . iPhone 8 plus will sell somewhat better though.

I would have bought iphone 8 if it had the duel camera set up and higher RAM as it's bigger version. The iphone X with the notch is too ugly to buy. Hence my iphone 6s will serve me for an year more till apple loses the notch and adds under the glass fingerprint sensor.

Apple, this is what you do; keep producing iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. When Apple introduces their iPhone X, the market will come back. People will line up getting the iPhone X. Apple stores worldwide will have people inside them. When the iPhone X sells out of them, people will be disappointed, but hands full of cash. That is when the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus break sales records. Same thing every year. Bring back rose gold.

It will be much lower demand if Apple goes with iPhone 7s name. They have to go with number 8 to keep up with competitors. Samsung have S8 and Note 8, Hauwei have Mate 10 and P10, even HTC goes up to 11 lol. People think Apple is years behind competitors with iPhone 7s. On the side note, Apple rushed out to release iPhone X in 2017 for 10th anniversary, if they delay to 2018 then it won't has any meaning. They kill themselves with their own bullets hahaha.

Dunno, about this... Are people out there holding on? ..I would say the IPhone X would break all records........then I see that whopping great big chunk missing from the screen.
It would just really bother me, I thought it the minute I saw it, and I think that now.
I just don't get it ...... will certainly stick out in a crowd. Is that a selling point? Did anyone go "WoW" when they saw 'that'? What does it add to the phone? Someone please explain.
