NeonHD, 10 Jun 2022Hahaha, I don't think you'll be saying what you said 5 years ago now that nearly all... moreDamn right it's a mandatory feature. Heck, I'll be screaming my ass if my phone doesn't come with one. Now that some random guy (you) replied to one of my oldest comments, looking back at what I said about 120Hz displays, I can't believe I said that with 100% confidence, it's pretty comical to be honest. I mean, back then I'm just a kid blabbering about shit, boasting and showing off my own stuff and "prowess in IT", thinking that I've done enough research to even know what I'm talking about. God I sound so stupid back then 😅

AnonD-625430, 21 Oct 2017120 Hz Refresh Rate Display is awesome for a smartphone but I don't think it's much required ... moreYes, 5 laters later and you are very much wrong lol.

Now that 120hz is mainstream, it is very hard for anyone to go back.

And the majority opinion now is that 120hz is a mandatory feature.

Trump Fan 1980, 21 Oct 2017 With any luck, Sharp and/or others will outfit a display with 240Hz refresh rate before 2019It was achieved by Sharp in May 2020 but close enough.

              I have one, bought in Japan, it's a no,no,no!
Despite their IGZO low comsum screen, battery will leave you after 6-8 hours, but camera, camera is a disaster. If sharp doesn't cover with an upgrade on software then this phone is the bigest scam on the market

That is the only reason, why he cannot see any difference at all. I can recognize difference between 60Hz and 75hz. So from 60hz to 120hz is giant leap and good way to go. Finally something interesting starting - iPad pro, Razer phone and now Sharp. And hopefully more to go. Hopefully, SoC will be powerful enough to drive such a high refresh rate!

For sure this is not the most beautiful phone on the world. But it is small. I read somewhere it meashures 132x66x9.2 mm. It is same size as the original Samsung A3 with its 4.5 inch screen. So the big shit on the bottom can be swalloed. Go Sharp.

120Hz display is nice, but the rounded display corner is weird, I prefer squarish display. Rounded display corner and 2.5D or edge display is weird trends. Bezelless is nice for both side, but bezel-less for top and bottom is a bit weird, because the front camera proximity sensor speaker and thumb rest areas are all here.

zodiacfml, 21 Oct 2017Sharp did it again! Though Apple was first to implement one but it is on the iPad. Do you know which manufacturer Apple bought that screen panel from?
Is it from the same manufacturer as this Sharp's panel?

Maybe Daydream will change its mind now, with these superb lcd screens. ;-)
They just need to ditch the nonsens cutout design.
