Calm down guys.. Look at it from engineering point of view.. I am a mechatronic engineer.. This indeed is the UNDER SCREEN fingerprint sensor.. The patent picture just shows how the wiring of the components is bent arount the fingerprint notch because the circuitry of the display and fingerprint is different thus need to be arranged carefully.. If samsung wants to make a display with fingerprint notch it will already has been made inside the S8 and Note 8.. No new patent/engineering breakthrough required

That ugly x thing, has two ears like batnans mask at the top of a vastly outdated screen res, and brightness panel. Big enough insult to put a second grade model of a Samsung screen, but ti butcher it like that, phew, no Samsung, isn't desperate to catch up like criapple, Samsung is the king of Samoled, no ugly screens for them, this story is an atempt to make the "i" demic seem normal.

This will most definitely be a cutout on their "bezel-less" phones, its gonna be ugly af, just like iPhone x & (un)essential... expensive, unimmersive, rounded bricks...

I absulutely hope it'll be a negetive notch. not a positive one. as in. the notch will be in the bezel instead of the screen itself. making the FPS invisible under the screen.
