So.. the bottom part of the dispay will be useless. I'd rather stick with my S7 Edge if their fingerpring stupidity will carry on. This is the main reason I'm not even tempted to switch to the S8. Hopefully they will make the fingerprint sensor work from unde the screen.

Better not to be cutout. Besides looking awkward, it would loose the meaning of bezelless. Remember the huawei flagship? Actually fingerprint may be the last interesting improvement with all that face scanning tech. I would say to shove that cameras&sensors behind screen is more interesting. Same as getting totally rid of that rest of top and bottom bezels.

It's a very good thing. I always prefer front facing fingerprint sensor because i don't have to lift up the phone to unlock when it's on the table or bed. Just touch your phone to unlock like my Lenovo P2.

Well, that would certainly be much better than where they have it now on the S8's and the Note8.

SohailSays, 24 Oct 2017In-screen fingerprint sensor, right? I'm hoping so but judging from the image provided... Looks like a cut out for a regular scanner but we shall see as time goes by. Qualcomm has already been working on support for the scanner under the display so we should start seeing that being implement or like what Apple is doing with the IPhone X. I'm hoping for having both sometime. Optional to use ur finger or scan your face. ;)
