And manufacturing cost has not gone up, on the contrary. There are less and less innovations so they are spending even less. Especially Apple who sells basically the same phone every year.

And they will CONTINUE to rise, as long as people are stupid enough to overpay for minor advances (faster processors, less bezels, brighter displays etc).
Processor speeds, given the apps people run on them, have been fast enough for the past 3-4 years.

I live in Baltic's and in here our minimum is 420 euro. But we see Lambos on the street and other luxury cars and yacht and so on. People will get a loan and buy beautiful things to make them feel better. Leash or loan makes no difference. I dont have that mentality that i need to have nice things that have a placebo effect of high cost so must be quality. I got my self a 90 euro Chinese phone that have decent specs for 5.5 inch phone to have 1080x1770 screen with 3GB ram. Well it plays games nice to. Well at least games i see a point to play on a handheld device. Like nfs no limits and Sky Force(Fun game i remember to have played it on some amusement parks coin games with 2 buttons and joystick.)
I dont have even motion sickness when i am in a car and watch the screen. I had with Lumia 830.
On topic.
I read some local news some time ago back like half a year or so that average price have dropped a lot. But well i dont think it's strange as there you can just make up a brand name and buy hardware from some companies from Asia and let some other company in Asia to fabricate it to a device. Pay for licence and hope for profit. Look at how Xiaomi have rised. 5 years ago who know anything about them ?

Meanwhile Honor brand sells it's phones 1.5-2 times cheaper. Without any quality drop. So prices of most selling flagships is the result of vanity fair - you have to use Apple or Samsung phones, nor you are out of fashion.
