Just keep in Ming there could be no HTC to last those payments for another 24 months before you purchase a phone from them :)

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2017If u need to get a loan to buy a HP...sigh...Buy an affordable one lah!!Think before you post

Not all phones are supported, i.e available on contract from say AT&T

If you really want the phone, you would have to stump up the $600 first and then get a "sim only contract" for you allowance : Minutes, Text, Internet

All this offers you is a way to spread the $600 over 24 months or $25 per month

Not all phones models are available so this is a way to obtain your phone on your network, BYOD

Before if you couldn't afford the $600 you would be have to choose a phone that is

Here in the UK, my network is starting a scheme (not involving a bank)
Your contract is split between device and allowance, the handset price is divided by 24 add to that you pay a monthly amount for your allowance

AFTER a year you can pay off the balance for the handset, the split allowed you to increase by paying more or decrease if you are not using your allowance

Before this the contract your started with was fixed i.e pre packaged so no flexibility

We ar now offered the ability to obtain any phone offered by the network with this " Flexible Plan" not just the contract phones

We do not have a similar HTC arrangement, so if a HTC phone is not offered by my network, then you would have to stump up

If the HTC plan is a success it could expand to other flagship phones, but networks stick to popular phones

I never understood americans (or canadians), it's almost like it's a good thing to be in debt. But why is that a good thing? I never ever borrow money from anyone. Only buy what you can afford. That's the secret of stress and worry free life :)

I manage a large retail store in Canada and even the most well healed use interest free finance from time to time, just because it looks good on their records etc and for much less purchase than 1K.
What HTC are offering is good-business sense and quite the norm. TD is also a great choice and very community focused.
I look look forward to the new U11+ offering. So far it looks outstanding from the renders..

From what I know, the brands that sell most in America are Samsung, Apple, ZTE, LG...
I'm not even sure if anyone is even using HTC...
