I think iphone fans need a jug or wine to forgive the eye mask.
I for one don't mind the notch that much. Although it would have been leagues better without it.
In the mean time, I am living with a $70 Android. Just want to know did I miss something in my life?
Cyclops from the X-Men Lol!!!!!!
This article could have covered the "bigger picture" (no pun intended) around "bezel-less" and taller screen trends. The fact is no manufacturers are getting it right:
Samsungs are too tall and narrow and the curved sides are pretty, but not pleasant for watching video or reading.
Sharp, Essential, and iPhone X have an idiotic "notch" at the top, iPhone X is also too narrow.
LG has the right proportions but their OLED screens aren't as good as Samsung.
Pixel 2 XL is using that same inferior LG OLED and is also too narrow.
Some chinese manufacturers are on the "bezel-less" bandwagon but the UI and the rest of the components aren't that great. An they're all too tall and narrow.
Why don't manufacturers make more "bezel-less" phones in 16:9 format? Why so tall and skinny?
Letting content flow into the top i think is to prevent burn in. Definitely not a good design choice. The buttonless gesture system however I love. I hope android can adopt it.
now they become rotten apple without steve jobs
Your are so late dude, signal prolem, bending, etc too many problems, feels like hard get thecone without problem, i8 pop up screen even prove long lasting flaw
I do want iPhone X when it enabled to Andromeda (kind of neo thing base on windows xD)
AnonD-711468, 28 Oct 2017By all means pre-order all the boring iphones of the past. The iphone 5 which was a taller iph... moreYou can't run out of ideas if you steal them...
just wait for iphone 8s and 8s plus and iphone XS may be? they will fix the existing problems that they had tested with the public in the first batch. However the fixed phones comes with a little premium over the current gen phones though.
The biggest problem with iPhones is iOS. All other problems pale into insignificance compared to it.
I had not thought of the cyclops effect. If I had that on the TV, yeah, that would be really annoying sometimes. It is a wasted visual space. May as well of had that as a thin bezel all the way across.
I agree with the forum post on - Can I look past the 'notch'? Will Face ID work as advertised? And more importantly will the modified ways of interacting with it drive me crazy? 1k plus for it and the bac side bump - nah.
I am fine with my current model. Fast and good enough for sure or I might check out Nokia 9 when it is released.
The iPhone X is a joke. You should leave the Apple Ecosystem.....for your own good.
Anonymous, 29 Oct 20173D touch is Nokia's thing. If MS didn't kill Nokia, it would have been a feature of all Androi... moreDo you mean if microsoft didn't elop-ed/quisling-ed Nokia?
Oh no. I cannot unsee cyclops now when I see that iPhone x even in pictures. It's all your fault. Lol
AnonD-711468, 29 Oct 2017Nope never done before, by Nokia or any other in a commercial phone. Stop spreading FUDYou're incorrect. Nokia had 3D touch years ago with the so-called Nokia McLaren. Check out that video I've linked.

Apple the brand for people with more dollars than sense.
Okay!! Didn't see this coming from gsmarena.
The silly part is that even when the technologies used by Apple were already in the market...(let's say the ones that Apple copies), this technology actually become trending is when Apple put them in their products... Even when they already existed before...
Personally, what really impressed me about the IPhone X is the fact that its processor is almost as fast as the one of the Macbooks Pro (you can check this information in the following link) :
