Most popular and most trending apps and biggest earners are games and some worst apps than games,instant message apps(social garbage apps). Let's just face it, without it, you can close down all the app markets, cause no one will make money. Nowadays society is brainless child which needs to be fed to satisfy primary instincts: play and basic communication(in play form)

Microsoft Word/Excel/ PP are all apps. I'm checking my bank account, 401k, stocks on the daily. I spend a good 30 minutes looking at these things. Many people spend money on playing video games in consoles, there's no difference there.

all the Android figures exclude China, so the actual totals (downloads, revenues, time spent...) are significantly higher than that.

AnonD-691126, 26 Oct 2017325 billion hours? Get a life! I hope you're being sarcastic. If there were 1Billion people in the word with Androids and Apple products. this means that 350 hours is being used per person per year. Which adds up to being about 1.5 hours per person per day.
