TGeorgeMihai, 19 Jun 2011Eighter the specs are wrong, eighter we are talking about a new S40 OS with multitasking (with... moreBut the samsung jet, was just a premodel to the BADA lineup.
And Nokia already have a smartphone OS of their own (plus one shared with intel).
But sure, it will probably multitask.. but still, with basic apps, it probably wont need all that ram anyway.
So its probably all about the videorecording.
it's not possible guys due to the excitation of event the people are on a role and i think the official made us fool...........
so nokia fans forced to love s40 (with all its incarnation), and slowly forget symbian (and meego). Final result will be s40 and wp7. sounds familiar?
This is the kind of things they need to do. if that's true they got a first step in todays race of muscle phone. Also it would be a good replacement for my old but trusty e75.
Considering Nokia's penchant to be lazy with S40 phones, I hope this one has a multi-task feature.
I think this is what happens when you cut off a chicken's head.
Nokia is currently sinking and I hope they will get their act together and soon!
they surely gonna integrate multitasking and quality games and apps for sure.... else they would not have included that much power... lets see what happens..
eww!! im currently using an s40 nokia 6233. and they will make it 1ghz? why not make it symbian! s40 is so simple and lacks all features... s40 is basically for cheap phones.... its just like $30 in price.
Nokia sold 193 million units last year only in South and Central America. So i guess they know what they are doing. Seeing as this tweet/news is from the marketing personal of Nokia in Argentina it might only be a phone for the Latin market.

Or better yet, the W series specs, since they are making and extremme makkeover to their most basic OS.
I recommend hold the horses for buy a N8, there is going to be very extremme changes on Nokia future path.
This is just part of an evolution, soo bad for the people that beign feel dissapointed of their new mobiles (N8,C7,C6 and more) but this had to happen for Nokias renaissance.
This is a prove that Nokia have strong presence on Latin-America, and they need us to continue sold the basic S40 phones, since these are the better sold.
Nokia's been high very lately!!! First they announce that they're dropping Symbian and switching to WP7, later they've retracted by saying that they are just simply going to focus more on WP7 but still produce Symbian until a specified year. Now they're going to unleash an S40 phone with that much hardware?! That means that they'll be doing MAJOR MAJOR changes with the current S40 which would make it not so S40! WTF is wrong with you Nokia??!!! And by producing an S40 phone with that spec they'll be killing all their high end S60 phones!!!!!!! SERIOUSLY!
let us just hope it's a new S40 killer leading as a result to a decent leftup to the Company ..
Cuz i believe for many of us deep down .. We still wanna remain Nokias Loyal Fans
AnonD-5397, 19 Jun 2011lol...now a s40 device will make N8,C6-01,C7,X7,E6 and E7 look zombies!!!
all these specs o... moreExactly...You got the point.
Nokia is focused on masses not classes.
They want to sold first on people of countries like Latin America, India, etc.
The ones who buy this kind of phones at good prices, pople that not need too much power BUT juts a good phone. (I like that idea)
Even I use more CDMA y still using my GSM and this kind of phones is good for me since I don't need 2 powerful devices, just one. And this is the kind of phone that Nokia will sold more, S40. For the emerging markets.
And they prefeer sold 1000's of these than just 10 Nokia N8's.
1GHz feature phone with 512mb ram and a clear black display. Oh yeah. If it's near 200 euros im gonna buy this baby.
