here it comes! the iOS and android killer!
with the simplicity and speed of s40 combined with multitasking that it should've gotten years ago will be released very soon in the future!!

do they really think we're gonna believe this crap. i mean since when can we believe news about nokia. maybe its not gonna be s40..maybe its not gonna be 1gHz..

we all know that nokia is run by idiots lately, but i sure don't think they are this dumb.

Lolwut? I think this just mistranslation, just think logically, those big RAM is totally useless for a S40 because it can't even multitasking!

Or maybe ''a whole new S40''?

"What the hell...?" was my first reaction.

Anyway, Nokia can do whatever they want with S40, as long as price and battery life doesn't start to suffer.

Why would nokia make a phone with those specs in S40? It's weird but kinda worthy to look forward to..

This phone is just basically pointless. Putting a 1ghz processor to a feature phone (dumb phone) it's just really pointless. Let's face it, Smartphones need this processing power is because Smartphones load a far more number of scripts, apps, softwares and are far more complex within it's computing mind. Unlike feature phones which just uses basic javascripts. This is like your putting a huge bottle of johnnny walker's blue labels into a shot glass, pouring it all in an instant. It's a waste to that raw power. The truth is a basic s40 touch and type is fast or sleek enough in a much lower hardware, even a hvga, nHD, or even WVGA is ok with a 600mhz processor (or even less) because of it's basic main frame. Listen if you want phone's with a 1ghz processor be efficient try putting it on your smartphones like your symbian or Windowsphone. The world wants smartphones not feature phones. . That's the problem with you these days you wont listen :C

R they going mad? Wat on earth do they think they r going to do? They r already flop in the smartphone series even with less hardware than this n they think they r going to smthng g8 in feature phn. What do they think they r going to run in a feature phn with massive spec? Funny.

i wonder how fast can that go..symbian 40 that is super light and a 1ghz processor..that sure can easily challenge the dual core smartphone in the market right now..even surpassing them is not impossible in term of speed..but its a featurephone,so a bit unfair to compare them..

They will introduce scores of rubbish Symbian phones before the WP ones just to make the latter ones look so much better than they really are.

Could be that the hardware platform for their WP7 phones are done or nearing completion, so they want to get that out to consumers in a feature phone to test for any problems and maybe get production ramped up before WP7 production.
