I like the phone, despite the price. If there were more case options I might get one

I can't imagine a right minded person in Japan will by that phone, not for $510. I wouldn't buy it for $299.

Because the Japanese press has received a large sponsorship fee from Apple, there is no hesitation in promoting Apple's advertisement extensively.
And the scandal that Apple has caused is not taken up in Japan at all.

I am really interested in knowing which brands are popular in Japan. As far as I have heard, iPhone has the largest userbase and android is not all that popular, and Japanese companies like Sony and Sharp barely make any sales. I like to know if that's true.
