price decline for flagship smartphones, except Apple devices, is so fast it's really not worth it to buy one at launch. the HTC 10 is also half its original price by now. even the LG G6, a 2017 model, is significantly cheaper already. all of those phones are still more than adequate to handle any task and most likely will be for a good while to come
