I am waiting for Nokia 1 just to see how low they can get in configuration. If there is Nokia 0 it's hardware will be like 1100.

Now everyday stuff include things like WhatsApp and 8gb is quite low. They should at least release 16gb version because ZTE offers about 2x the specsheet for same price

BiyoBiyo JunJun, 28 Oct 2017should i buy this phone ? anybody who have experience with SD 200 ?? Ihad nokia X2 which has sd 200 I think. but with forked version of Android and it was vey smooth. Even in than mobile 500-600mb game was running fine. Which has 1gb ram and free ram was 500-600mb ram(as it was not pure Android so no Google background activities). I had very good experience with that. But can't tell about this mobile asit is pure Android. If you just want to call message and small apss(not fb and fb messanger like) then it's fine.

To people who say that 8GB of memory isn't enough, SD212 is really bad and etc... This phone isn't meant for us. It's for people who just make calls, write messages, do simple stuff like that. It's a smartphone you could give to people of older generations because they don't use any fancy features. Or you could give this to a little kid. How would they utilize these beefy cameras or top of the line cpus? Phones like this have many purposes. You can also throw them away or not feel bad after dropping, destroying them because of their low price.
One more thing I'd like to note to people saying that it's expensive. If 99$ is expensive for a phone that's being released in the US, you're out of your mind. I could say that even 20$ phone would be expensive for you, no matter what specifications the phone had. You can't just simply compare Chinese phone prices to ones being released in the US because of different taxes, different laws. In China no one cares if you are breaching patents, but in the US or Europe it's a whole different story. So to add to the price of taxes, there is shipping and patents cost.

8 gig storage will leave almost no room to install apps. I like the idea of it though, and the size if it is really 4.7”.

FinnishInquisition, 28 Oct 2017The specifications may seem meager, but I honestly think it could be a great phone for poorer ... moreS212-chipped phone at $99 won't offer poorer nations a fair price

Snapdragon 200 series seems very laggy from what i saw on the internet. Also, how they think to run new android os on 1gb of ram? Even when i m buying used phone, if it has only 1gb of ram i buy if it's up to kitkat version

The specifications may seem meager, but I honestly think it could be a great phone for poorer nations, but also richer nations where someone may want a backup or emergency phone. I hope they went with polycarbonate for the design, to make it even more durable.
