But it's ok for Apple to do it, by charging over $1000 for an animated emoji machine ?

I work in a Verizon Wireless store. We purchase any iPhone at $10 above the cost what apple sells for retail. If we sell iPhones at apples suggested price, we lose money. The only way we make money is by signing customers up for the device payment. For a phone like the X which is in such high demand and low supply, Best Buy doesn't want to give them away for 0 profit.

>you had to pay $100 extra compared to Apple's prices
>such a practice was deemed unfair

Well, then buy from whoever is selling cheaper. Best Buy will lose a customer.
Do you even capitalism?

US buyers should cry more. Only 100$ added cost to the phone is great. We in Lithuania have to pay 1200 EUROS when our monthly average wage is 500.
