Is The OS trend war and nobody can decide who will be the winner accept consumer power. Clearly now is ios and android rule that force Nokia jumping. Who know's what consumer like us might like in future. Prediction and advance must keep up.
Own N95 like it even its bulky. Own 3GS like it even better a lot. Own Android sgs, also like it very much. Play my sister N8, also like it especially camera. But put all together, Me and my sister clear choose out of Nokia. Why? Feel much enjoyment to use. As a consumer , hope everyone can come our a even better phone. Clearly Nokia have to work more extra harder next time.
MeeGo itself is not a bad OS. The potential for MeeGo to be developed into something much more is there. With a company such as intel being behind MeeGo we could see a potential future; however as it stands now MeeGo will not be a competitor to iOS and Android. While the N9 itself is aesthetically pleasing; i feel let down by Nokia still. This phone will be released Q4 2011 at earliest; if not 2012. Which means by the time this device actually hits the market, dual core devices will basically be the norm. I can't possibly imagine paying $499+ for a device that Samsung basically sold in 2010. Yeah the N9 has 1GB of ram; something tells me it needs this much ram as the OS itself is technically not suited yet for mobile device use. Meaning unless I close down all applications and services running it'll be a memory hog. If anything, I would like to see what LG puts into their MeeGo device. Knowing LG, it'll definitely be dual core and a newer GPU as well.
Seriously; I feel like Nokia is on the right track with this device; however they need to fire whoever is designing the internal of the phone and hire someone who keeps up with technology.
Meego is a good project for Nokia.
But for now I believe they need good sales and gain loss ground.
I believe there will be more followers with WP7 than Meego...or maybe I'm wrong :P
joonius, 22 Jun 2011Thing is... Nokia's earnings is aimed lower for Q2 and Q3. It's only Q2 so... lol

I don't see how it could go lower from $6 but anything could happen I guess.

So you're telling me, Nokia spent most of 2009 & 2010 trying very hard to copy something that was released to the public in 2007?!
All I can say is Well Done.
joonius, 22 Jun 2011Nokia at $6 is soooooo tempting.I know.
If you want to buy some stocks then wait for the earnings call. I expect it to be bad and the stock will drop even lower.

Economy has very small influence on RIM's performance in the market.
The Boy with Red Hat, 22 Jun 2011From my humble point of view. N9 needs more AnnA than Meego. :PI agree with you. It will be nice for Symbian to go out with a bang.

Seems things are getting interesting with RIM on the edge and new operating systems etc..But what about the world economy as its bad maybe that will be a factor in deciding who survives..???
If people have to budget more and more will Apple go under..Will people turn to non brand power ie Huawei and ZTE and they take over as famous brands cost to much ..I mean as another side to things is if people decide to get as much bang for the buck possible these two companys will sneak up on rear and take a big chunk of market..?
